This describes a reliable method I have found to measure and mix an amount of Hydrocal which is exactly enough. Just putting this here for future reference. I made a lot of errors in estimating plaster before and this formula seems to work most of the time. (More file formats at the bottom.)

30JUN19 My amazing comedian friend J.T. Habersaat sent me this awesome limited edition "Happy Clown" hydrocal sculpture by artist Jim Ether as a get well gift. I LOVE IT!
Soooo, this is a two part post, because... . ONE... It's just as important to share our misfortunes/learning experiences with fellow artists, as it is to post success. and... TWO, I'm still a bit confused as to why it might of happened. . My #hydrocal mold delaminated on me. Meaning, there was an awesome hard and smooth outer shell, and an equally hard inner shell attached to the sculpture. But there was a shitty thinner layer separating the two with almost a dry wall consistancy. Do any of my fellow @monstermakers have any idea where I may have made my mistake? . PS... I'm cleaning this lil'lady up tonight and having another go at her. ummm...
