secrets ; devon and cass
WORDS, WORDS, WORDS
Listening to her words is enough to make Devon realize there has been a lot of things hiding in between the lines that they’d both vowed not to cross. It doesn’t matter, though, not now. There isn’t anything left to hide, and she pulls Cass closer, trying to ease how vulnerable she must feel after having allowed herself such a confessional. Also, selfishly enough, it allows her to say that she won’t leave, not even in the face of her flaws, not ever, without actually saying it. “It’s okay.” Devon finally speaks, nodding for her own good, before continuing. “You aren’t the only one.” The words come easy, as another realization sinks in - she’d going to have to start telling her own story. It’s only right they walk the truth together, and a deep breath is taken before she begins to spill the secrets she never thought she’d have to confront again.
