sup, lads! i’m emily from the aest/gmt +10 timezone, nice to meet you. anyway, here’s some info about this demon.

grew up in a really strict household, her parents both super duper successful in their careers and with a really hardcore sense of like... not being the family fuck up.

therefore, care-bear here is extremely anal, and driven, and kinda living in fear that she’s gonna disappoint her parents. she’s not so much hardcore competitive and wants to be the best of the best it’s more like ridiculously high standards she sets for herself.

LOVES architecture and design. an extremely talented drawer but pure fine arts wasn’t gonna fly in her family so she opted for architecture (which she still really loves!) 

was a little bit of a tight ass in high school but found a nice (if wild) group of friends that got her to loosen up quite a bit and she became pretty apt at dressing conservatively at home and changing at school (mo from lemonade mouth, anyone?) and sneaking in and out of her house to go to parties. she loves being social and cutting loose a little, even more now that she doesn’t live at home.

her relationship with morgan was very spencer/alison from pll. if you loved yourself and never invested time into that show, think scary mean queen bee & snarky overachiever who called her out on her shit even though they were friends. it was a rocky friendship... to say the least.

as for her secret... she was seeing a guy like 6 months ago they were fooling around and made a tape. if her parents saw that tape she’d legit be cut off entirely also just... bad for her rep in general so, yikes.

in terms of personality now she’s kinda snobby and can still be a little uptight, but rarely ever actually intends to be mean or anything she just kinda honest i guess. has a good heart though & is always there for those she cares about. kind of adorable when you get past the icy exterior. think of her as like spencer hastings/caroline forbes/quinn fabray had a baby... she’s the baby.

galilea is the third out of five kids, suffering from serious stereotypical middle-child syndrome. 

both of her parents are nurses and were never home a whole lot; they were pretty well off but nothing crazy. just comfortable enough to afford a vacation every couple of years or so. 

galilea was often left out of things, and she was never the best at anything than her siblings; someone played piano better, played soccer better, did better in school, was more creative. she wasn’t big into extra-curricular activities because her siblings were excelling more than her at basically everything, so gali would often be sitting on the sidelines of every piano recital, soccer game, cheerleading competition, and academic award ceremony. 

she was bullied for being unextraordinary, but one particular incident is what got her into her real interest. while crying in the bathroom at school, a pair of girls came in and turned off all of the lights; “bloody mary. bloody mary. bloody mary.” when they finally left, leaving the lights off and not even noticing that galilea witnessed their attempted ritual, she was afraid to come out of the stall lest she get the brunt of bloody mary. 

while digging through the self-help section of the book store, she ended up wandering into the dreams and divination section, which is where she found her true calling; the occult. the transformation from nobody to freak only targetted her more for bullying, but galilea was too interested in learning about anything and everything she could. 

she got into photography to build her book of shadows, and kind of fell in love with it and realized that maybe she did have some talent after all.

despite bullying galilea for being a huge weirdo, morgan still went to her for readings. the first time was a joke, but when galilea had given her a relatable reading with good advice she kept going back in secret.

it was during one of these readings that galilea noticed they were often negative, forboding karma and danger. when she tried to warn morgan during a particularly negative reading, the other girl scoffed in her face and flipped the table, scattering her cards and breaking her tea set.

so i know you aren’t technically supposed to open with a disclaimer, but disclaimer: alex is annoying as fuck for a variety of reasons. 

1) once you get to know her, she doesn’t shut up. i’m just apologizing for her in advance. even when she got her tonsils out, she just used a text to speech app in order to inform everyone about her opinions on the eeveelutions and stephanie brown despite Many protests to stop. 

2) she’s incapable of admitting she’s wrong. it will never ever happen. you know that scene in malcom in the middle where they show lois the tape of her pulling out in front of the car when the cop pulled her over, and she was like the tape is wrong. that’s alex–and she’d like to point out that lois was proven to be right, thank you very much.  

also, she’s a giant dork. obvi. she’s obsessed with quantum theory and organic chemistry, specifically.

she’s also a classic rock nerd; music is v, v important to her. her favorite bands probably the velvet underground, black sabbath, eagles, and def leppard. pls roast her. who tf does she think she is.

her favorite tv shows hands down are twin peaks (ignoring the second part of season two), star trek next gen, and the twilight zone because she’s fuckin’ weird and fuckin’ nerdy. oh and obviously the office. the best show of our generation.  

she’s an avid runner. i know, gross, but she gets up at five in the morning everyday just to run a couple miles before class. And Then she runs even more at night after her shift at the bio lab gets over. i Hate her. 

her reputation is waaaaay too important to her, so she really tries to appear perfect all the time in every aspect of her life.

she wants everyone to think that she’s a Good Girl and Perfect, so she was always the dd and would absolutely Never hook up before the fourth date.

her mom left when she was twelve because of untreated postpartum depression, and alex hasn’t seen her since. she also doesn’t know the circumstances of her leaving, so she hasn’t forgiven her and has absolutely no plans to process her emotions (( in general, but especially concerning this particular subject )).  

she has a younger brother and an older sister that she’s v v close to. they are…less than responsible, so alex took over a lot of responsibilities of being ‘mom’ while her dad was out of town or working.

she’s uh ,,, #mess when it comes to her own life, though. she puts all her energy and effort into her family and school, so her self-care is zero. 

her dad is a lawyer, so he worked a lot while she was growing up. but, she’s still very close to him. he was pm her best friend for a long time.

she used to be with the “in crowd” before she was kicked off the squad. there are a ton of rumors about why, ranging from pregnancy to blackmail, but honestly no one would guess the truth because alex puts on such a show of being a Good Girl™. 

really she got kicked off because her coach found out that she’s been abusing prescription pills for years in order to keep up with her course work and family life.

before she got kicked off the squad, she got in a spat with morgan, so morgan fueled the rumors and now none of her old friends will talk to her.

PHYSICAL. HEIGHT.    5'7" WEIGHT.   52kg.   EYES.    blue . HAIR.     longer , a medium brown shade. straight — with light waves , depending on the humidity. TATTOOS.   n/a.   SCENT.      she has a very flowery scent , with a light clean undertone . she loves vanilla , and will often be found wearing a nice vanilla perfume.    SKIN TEXTURE.   very soft . she's absolutely obsessed with lotion & skincare , so hear skin is healthy as can be . NOTES ON PERSONALITY.   a lot of how she acts is a direct correlation of what happened with her brother . she carries a lot of guilt on her shoulders over it. she suffers from post traumatic stress disorder. her panic attacks are typically triggered by bodies of water , and or being exposed to anything swimming related .

BAD HABITS.   she tends to tug her hair out when stressed , and is often wearing extensions to hide the spots that she's tugged out. she bites the inside of her mouth until it bleeds.  

DISTINGUISHABLE FEATURES.

EYES.   her eyes , a deep oceanic blue , flow just like water . they sparkle in the sunlight & will certainly capture your heart with one glance. she's gotten fairly good at doing her eye makeup to accentuate the color of her hues. she has thick bottom lashes , with matching upper ones.

HAIR.   long , landing just below the middle of her back. though it's quite straight , it has it's days where it will get a light wave to it. she enjoys those days , as she's not entirely fond of the stick - straight look that she typically has going on . a medium brown , with some lighter highlights flowing through .

MOTHER.   abigail rose briars , alive . childhood : as a child , abigail was a very good mother. she was a single mother , working two jobs . doing her best to keep food on the table for her little girl. she did her best to bond with holly, through everything. elder childhood : they only got closer as she got older , that is , until her little brother florian was born . after he came into the world holly felt replaced . she felt as though her mother didn't care for her and there was a lot of jealousy . however , abigail tried to get through to her daughter . begged her to understand .pre - teens : after florian died , her mother withdrew herself from holly. which , while understandable from an outsider's perspective . . . it was very traumatizing for a girl who was already carrying so much guilt . teens : her mother , utterly withdrawn from her , kicked her out of her home at 17. she has not spoken to her since.

FATHER.   declan michael mathers , deceased . holly never knew her father .

BROTHER.   florian alexander briars , deceased . she never wanted her brother , after his birth , she grew very resentful towards him because of how much attention it took away from her. however, she grew to like him. she even loved him , eventually .

OVERVIEW.

she was born at exactly 9:30 in the morning. her mother had a c - section . her grandmother was stood at her daughter's side , since her father wasn't in the picture.

her entire family was in the waiting room — anxiously waiting to hear the gender. they erupted in applause as soon as she was announced.

without her grandmother , eliza , they wouldn't have made it. eliza watched holly a lot growing up and took her to all of her school functions and made sure that she had things to do after school.

holly's mother adored her and tried to be around as much as she could — but she was doing everything possible to keep a roof over their heads + food in their bellies.

she worked two jobs throughout the entirety of holly's childhood.

when holly was nine, her mother fell pregnant with a little boy.

holly was excited, right up until florian was born. his birth took the attention away from her , and she grew very frustrated with him.

it took her a good year and a half of constant contact with him before she got even remotely comfortable with him. around two, she had even grown to love him.

he died when he was three. she was getting ready to turn thirteen. abigail had left them alone for thirty minutes. so she could shower & stuff while they were playing in the medium - sized pool they had in the yard.

it had been entirely accidental. really , it had.

holly was just a kid. she was playing with him — tossing him around as she'd seen her mother do countless times. they were having a blast.

her mom's phone rang , and she left him on his floaty to go answer it .

in the two minutes that she was out of the pool , her brother fell into the water. he'd inhaled so much water that even after she jerked him from the bottom … he was unconscious.

she panicked — believing that he was dead and she took off .

when the police finally picked her up , she was questioned thoroughly. they believed her story , which was the truth.

her mother , distraught , utterly withdrew from her. underneath it all , she truly believed that her daughter had killed her brother out of jealousy.

she tried to gather evidence against her daughter on the downlow — but there wasn't any. everything that holly had said lined up. eventually holly stopped trying.

they coexisted until finally , holly found out about her mother's beliefs when she was seventeen.

her mother finally exploded and kicked her out — telling her that she did believe that she killed florian on purpose.

she lived with her grandmother , eliza , until she graduated high-school. soon after that eliza died .

she left her granddaughter everything she had in the will.

which is how holly lives the rather lavish life that she does .

teddy grew up in michigan with his mom and dad. he had a pretty normal childhood, his dad expected a lot out of him and he rebelled hard core in high school. when it came to college he knew that he wanted to move out of the state. when he found hyland he didn’t think he was going to get in, when he did he knew it was the school for him.

he was smart in high school, too smart for his own good. he got pretty decent grades when he cared and tried. he mostly slid by passing classes by acing tests.  he hated homework and half bull shitted almost every project.

he was friends with a lot of jocks in high school and went to parties, smoked and drank too much.

he hooked up with a lot of people in HS and was known for being a player. he was in two real relationships but was kinda shitty and he got dumped once and broke the other girls heart.

hes not the “cheating” type, he gets bored a lot and has commitment issues.

he smokes wayyy too much weed and is high pretty much 24/7! he sells pot and drugs so HIT HIM UP IF YOU NEED THE GOOD STUFF!

he drinks too much at parties and often forgets where hes at and what he’s doing.

hes not angry he just gets annoyed and ticked off easily and will say whats on his mind before thinking

his mouth gets him in trouble the most, hes honest and not afraid to speak his mind.

he loves psychology and is great at reading people and manipulating others is part of his hobby!

he hasn’t had any “real” jobs, he just sold drugs and bought booze for underage kids.

his family has money and he doesn’t flaunt it, but defiantly uses his trust fund to his advantage and doesn’t have to worry about money.

people think he’s heartless but he really cares too much.

he doesn’t know where he was the night of morgan‘s death! he was very much under the influence of drugs and alcohol. if you question him on where he was and what he was doing he flips out.

he doesn’t hate cops, his father is one! he’s “respectful” most of the time to authority. he smooth talks his way out of many situations, but will own up to any mistakes he makes.

social media is useless to teddy, he doesn’t care what he posts or what others post. he’s not active and doesn’t really know what too many people are up to!

he was very close friends with morgan when he first got to hyland and then the two turned enemies (more to come with that!!!!) but he’s protective over her still, even though he shit talked about her behind her back because he cared too much.

- Emma grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth from the day that she was born. As the only child for the first seven years of her life, she was used to getting her way, plain and simple. Her parents would joke that it got to her head and that it led to her being full of herself. Emma would contend that, seeing as she’s the only person in her life that she can truly control, she should be full of herself.

- As a young girl, Emma fell in love with track. She found that running helped her feel relaxed, almost... free. She joined her school’s track team in middle school and continued running until she got to college. Since Morgan was killed, she’s started taking up running again, as it helps her take her mind off of things.

- Any class that requires exact measurements or mathematics is not Emma’s strong point. She tries her best to get by on her own or go to tutors… but she isn’t above cheating a little to stay afloat.
