The struggle
For real, brain. I'd like to finish one fic without you imagining a few dozen stories for the newest thing I start watching/reading.
I have gone through the dark rabbit hole of hyper-fixation and I need to vent about it
I don’t want my current hyper-fixation to end.
I am ENJOYING my current hyper-fixation.
I’m enjoying the books and fanfics and watching the same series or reading the same passages again and again.
I don’t want the stories and passages to dull up and stop being their usual interesting selves they’ve been for the past 3 months.
I don’t want the void feeling that is left in my mind when nothing is interesting and nothing seems to hold my attention and my mind wonders 5 minutes into a book or fanfic or show because it’s the in-between, waiting for something else to show up, not knowing how long that might take.
I also I don’t want to take up anything else, because I know one of two things will happen.
1- It will substitute my current hyper-fixation that I right now don’t want to end.
2- I will not be able to enjoy what I take up because I’m still deep into my current hyper-fixation, and something that might be a bright stop will be muddle through by my single minded focus.
