DDRC Hyperbaric Chamber Operator Course
Sheena Easton runs a bespoke Sports Therapy and Injury Rehabilitation Centre in Northampton, housing a Perry mono- chamber similar to the one at DDRC. She recently successfully completed the ‘DDRC Hyperbaric Chamber Operator Course’ and provided this feedback on her experience of that course with us.
“Prior to starting the course, I was extremely anxious about coming to the DDRC as I have had no hyperbaric medicine or diving experience at all and I really didn’t know what to expect or what I’d be doing for the week. But I can truthfully say that my experience at the DDRC superseded my expectations completely.
Jon Parlour, our course lead, was a fantastic teacher. He understood my lack of experience and tailored the course to suit my needs without straying off the designated course content. His approachable manner made me feel at ease straight away and allowed me to ask as many ‘stupid’ questions as I wanted!! His passion for hyperbaric medicine and diving rubbed off on me towards the end of the week as I even started to enjoy the Physics part of the course!!!
I must express that all of the DDRC staff I met on the course had the same manner and ethos as Jon did, and I learnt so much in that short week. I must say a few thank you’s to Chris, Peter, Paul and Bob, to name a few, who again shared their knowledge and expertise with me.
All I can say is that the DDRC is a fantastic Charity, which has a remarkable, committed team of people with enthusiasm and passion for what they do.”
