I WILL NOT CEASE
I was in an online class and people were chatting before class. They got on the topic of how great David Tennant is and I was extremely self controlled and didn't mention good omens AT ALL. And then they all brought it up and I was extremely self controlled and only showed off ONE fanart print I had nearby and the ducks I won from the TIC raffle. Their enthusiasm made it so difficult to stop there.
Everyone please applaud me for quitting while I was ahead.
I hate listening to podcasts because they require a certain level of attention that I just dont have
Because 90% of the time I turn a podcast on, I'm USING IT AS BACKGROUND NOISE FOR VIDEOGAMES OR TASKS
So I'm sort of splitting my attention between two things which I'm notoriously bad at especially when I'm unmedicated so I end up missing a lot of details
This is especially bad since I tend to go through periods where I haven't listened to an episode of something in weeks or even months
Which results in me feeling a lot of guilt when I go on tumblr and see people talking about things that I either missed or just haven't gotten to yet
I... feel bad about having such a strong hyperfixation towards characters (Baal, as a current example) to the point where other people not feeling the same way or other characters getting into conflicts with them, as will happen in a story, still makes me feel angry and resentful and defensive. I know it's not normal, and the issue regarding this happened months ago, so I should be over it... if I was normal.
I don't want to feel this way, I don't like feeling this way, especially if said story character conflict involves other people's characters who I wish I could see the same way before that story line... I feel terrible for feeling like this, like I know I'm being stupid, I'm know I'm being ridiculous for going to bat for a character that doesn't exist and will never know how I feel! And yet I don't know what to do about it.
im actually so mad that my sleep token hyperfixation has ended cuz I can barely listen to them anymore. i just have to wait for my brain to become obsessed again and idk how long that’ll take :(
I'm ready to take back Earth!
Except, I'm really not, because every other time I've played that mission it has legitimately emotionally devastated me with the kind of severity that only a highly invested special interest can do to a neurodivergent! Sure, I have the Happily Ever After mod, but I don't know if there's a logical end choice to use with it, it whether my usual choice will make sense, it anything else. I only know it's supposed to be less devastating.
Maybe synthesis will work, or maybe I'll end up running my week by playing the last mission three times before I move on to the Citadel as an Epilogue!
