Hypogamy is the act of marrying someone of a lower social and economic class than your own. Hypogamy has been found to be practiced more by men than by women.
At this point many spaces have discussed how great HYPERgamy is and how bad HYPOgamy. But many spaces have not discussed the 3rd option: Assortative Mating. A Youtuber that I follow brought up this topic! This is yet another reason why you should not allow anyone to convince you that education doesn’t matter.
