I made that “I won’t be late to your funeral” valentine, featuring hyrrokin, as just an off the cuff thing, but I started thinking... why hyrrokin, you know? Why did she have to come and launch the ship? Plenty of large, strong mofos in jötunheimr. The æsir are kind of awkward drinking buddies with ægir and rán, why not send for one of them? Maybe hyrrokin was good at boats or something. Or maybe hyrrokin had personal ties to baldr all along, and Snorri didn’t know about them.

So anyway, now baldr/hyrrokin is a ship that lives rent free in my head
