Inspiration: Instead of a date, during a study trip hiding from everyone else where it’s only two of us enjoying our time together with a nerve-wrecking atmosphere, the fluttering feeling would be nice.

“The eight or so students who had agreed to come on this weekend filing out of the door to get a drink or snack. Sanghyuk decided to stay back and coincidentally, Namjoo also wasn’t getting up.”
The orchestra of groans and sighs were prevalent throughout the entire library, granted it was only a few students but there was one who was perfectly fine. It was probably because he understood the material more than the others.
“Why are you even here Sanghyuk?” Sungjae made a jab at the male sitting across from him, happily studying the next problem while the others took a break.
Sanghyuk looked up from his book and shrugged, the others turning towards him with the same questioning look.
“Weren’t you the one that invited him?” Namjoo pointed out at the latter who’s head was flat on the table.
Another groan of distaste escaped Sungjae as he aimlessly searched for the pencil that he threw some time ago. Everything went silent once more and they decided to continue working. A few hours had passed before Sojung had voiced for a break since they had be working since dawn for finals. A chorus of “sures” echoed in the library as seats were being pushed out. The eight or so students who had agreed to come on this weekend filing out of the door to get a drink or snack. Sanghyuk decided to stay back and coincidentally, Namjoo also wasn’t getting up. Sanghyuk knew of Namjoo, she was friends with Sungjae. The three of them have hung out multiple times so there was no awkwardness there...just lack of things to talk about.
“Why are you even friends with him?” Namjoo asked as she sat in the chair beside Sanghyuk.
He shrugged, “Same reason why you’re still friends with him,” was the best thing he could think of.
She nodded gingerly, glancing around as his eyes were glued to the textbook. She stayed silent as the tap of his pencil filled the silence before he placed it down and shut his book. The action caught Namjoo off guard as she jumped slightly from slam. She watched as he turned his head to face her, eyes meeting.
“Wanna go get some gopchang?”
She blinked trying to process what he just said before nodding absentmindedly. He gave her a smile before tidying up his area before leaving the everything but his wallet there. Namjoo followed his steps and brought her purse with her, the two of them exited the library. Namjoo realizing the hallways were empty while Sanghyuk took no mind to it. The two of them started off with just silence before she pointed out a newly opened ice cream shop, and Sanghyuk said he couldn’t eat ice cream even though he loved it. The journey to the gopchang place wasn’t as silent as it was in the beginning and the two of them found themselves talking even throughout the entire meal. They settled for a bakery instead, saving Sanghyuk the suffering of ice cream. As they took a seat in the bakery, both of their phones rang, signifying a text message.
