I read a yupik folk story yesterday where Raven noted that there was a twinkle of ‘beingness’ in humans that he quite literally flew up and put a star in their eyes. Also, Raven is in most or all of alaska’s native ethnic groups. He’s mostly portrayed as sort of like a guide, for humans, but he’s also a creator (not THE creator, just A creator, like an artistic guess) but he’s also a trickster. He tends to live alongside humans, and some say he’s the ancestor of humanity. There’s a lot to him, and a lot of Raven tales, so it was only fair to add him (he’s also very witty like Alaska in WTTT, and I love that)
