I have 1 little unfortunate thing happen to me per day. Yesterday was breaking my pop socket, today was breaking my nail clippers. I don’t want to know what tomorrow will be

I realised what my problem is

It’s that I crave your attention

Like it’s a liquor I need to get down

But once I get it

The intensity scares me

And so I run away

Leaving you heartbroken

Infected and infectious

I Break Things

Like lanterns

And pants that are too tight

And the box of dishes I dropped

And the statue of Saint Joseph my mom had that I accidentally knocked over with my backpack

And the plastic coated winter jacket I accidentally melted in front of the fireplace in elementary school

And the accordion that was strapped to my body when I fell off that boat into that lake

And my own will to live,

But I’ve gotten it back every time

Because I also fix things.
