also I forgot to tag the post w this but thay kidnapped bride triumphant plotline literally happened in spinning silver and I was SO fucking mad because I thought she was going to be like...free and happy. it's in the other novak book, it's in warbreaker. it's in deathless. it's omnipresent om ao3 in the form of war prize AUs and forced marriages. it's inescapable the authors certainly aren't abused women and often aren't even women at all. omg cleaning robot at work decorated with an 18th century russian soldier man
