🔥 Original Characters

              I love looking at other Starfox ocs and am more lenient on them since some of them, at least on things like deviantart, are made by kids. But I have one pet peeve that I’ve seen for many ocs even out of Starfox is when people make it a shameless and over-powered self insert. An example of this would be if a character in the bio or fanfiction or whatever kills a character that the author hates or uses said character to make the oc seem cooler. It annoys me to no end to just read a fanfic where the oc just beats the shit out of Slippy or whatever character the author hates and then at the end of the story that character probably ends up with Falco or Krystal. I think that’s the most annoying part of mary sues is just how hyped up the author makes them just to make them seem like some god or goddess compared to the canon cast. Like no your oc didn’t effortlessly beat starwolf or kill Andross on their first shot without effort, stop. And people like this barely ever take criticism and while lash out at you for giving even the slightest bit of criticism.

Giving your ocs accomplishments and giving them similar dislikes to you isn’t a bad thing but please don’t make them this wonderful deity that beats any character you hate is just poor writing.

If anyone knows me from my personal/art account I love those bastards but that isn’t an unpopular opinion. 

I don’t have any unpopular opinions I feel super strong on but one I will bring up is how some people in the community treat Wolf and to a lesser extent the other members. I often see people claiming that Wolf is an ‘owo smol innocent man’ in the most OOC way completely ignoring established canon. Now I’m sure these people aren’t familiar with the Starfox games and found the characters via Smash Bros or random furry posts and liked the characters design which is fine but it’s still a little weird to see Wolf or any Starwolf member treated like they never did anything wrong when they’re canonly space pirate bastards but most of the fandom isn’t like this so it’s not much for me to complain about.

Some small headcanons to kick me back into gear!

♡ Corvid often uses little emoticons like “OvO” unironically

♡ She’s extremely kinda socially inept, not that she’s shy and quiet but instead, she’s loud with barely any filter often ignoring any common sense. 

♡ Corvid has hemophobia to the point where she often faints 

♡ Corvid was a very sheltered child and was babied the second she was born.

♡ Her favorite types of music are pop and swing music. 

♡ She is too forgiving she often lets harmful people into her life

♡ She’s way too easy to manipulate which she is very much aware of. She has experiences of people tricking her into paying for stuff. Learning restraint is one of her key goals in life now that she’s able to recognize the problem.

♡ Corvid has a strong disdain towards superstitions due to her being called a bad luck omen by her peers as a child.  

♡ She isn’t very well liked by her co-workers due to her childish nature making her seem unprofessional
