it’s lowkey ironic how my mom, who’s from the Midwest, and who’s father is a priest in a church, is a conservative hating democrat while my dad, who’s grew up in nyc, who hasn’t even been confirmed, and rarely goes to church is a redneck republican.
Why did I have to be stuck with republican parents, parents that yell and yell and are unable to control their emotions? My dad has laid his hands on me before, and I can't fucking do anything either. He's the only one who works in my family and if I report him I'm fucking over my siblings.
I just got sent to my room for giving my brother a history lesson about tectonic plates, and we got to fossil fuel, apparently saying they are gonna run out and we need to find better options is brainwashing him.
I don't think my parents like me, like as a person. Hell, I don't even think they like me as a daughter. They always have something to complain about even when I try my hardest. And they constantly spew threats at me, threatening to take things I love away, threatening to homeschool me. .
I can't wait to be 18, cause fuck this. Living with them is so stressful and there's no was I can change their views. I just wish I had good parents
