It was a nice cold walk this morning, the breeze carried the mist enough to be felt, yet not visible. The water was mostly calm, noticeable only when you put focus towards it. Mornings like these bring me back to days of love, days of excitement. Constant exploration lasting from sunrise to sunset to sunrise again. Rising above mountains as though i was trying to race the sun itself. The mornings now are so calm, so peaceful, so… Boring. I’d used to wake up surrounded by company, we’d all talk to one another, speaking every word on our mind, a never ending conversation. Days of color, I’d call them, Days of joy. Never a dull moment, and never a moment regretted. Now i wake up to dark rooms and silence, those hollow sounds of nothing bouncing off every wall like a dead echo. Never a word spoken, never a word wasted.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for the life I lead, everything now is just something being set up for the future, a lot of waiting and training. One day, things’ll be great. One day. Some day. It’ll be alright.

Man today was a much better day at work than Ive had in weeks. I got so much done and I didn’t hate 100% of it.
