I'm suddenly remembering a time in the Rain World fandom back when Downpour came out where there was a devide in the fandom between people who were REALLY into shipping slugcats and people who didn't really like the shipping and were more focused on the world building and story and a few of those folks straight up despised the shipping because they thought it took away from the meat of the game and just focused on fandom shipping tropes and brainrot which i agreed with to some degree but now i'm wondering what those guys would have thought of me who, halfway through playing The Watcher and being absolutely bombarbed with information, have come out of that experience with only one thought and it is "maybe if Watcher and Saint kissed each other that would fix whatever the fuck is wrong with em"
