The humble flashback episode
Personally I think Eric Kripke and the other writers on supernatural WAYYYY underuse flashback episodes. There’s so much insane potential there.
If it wasn’t blatantly obvious by now, I love childhood episodes in supernatural. I love getting to see little glimpses of what got us here. The flashback episodes should really just twist the knife of whatever upsetting plot line we’re in.
I think we should see childhood flashbacks almost near constantly in particularly Dean focused episodes. It’s those moments that define his routine, his motivations, his everything.
As for Sam, I think he’s much more focused on trying to forget about that and frankly I’d just like to see more of his college life. I want to see the Sam he so desperately tries to be.
The only point in time I would want to be intentionally obscured would be those years without Sam. Something has obviously happened because Dean is changed. He’s cagier and desperate and there’s just something off about it. (Also it’s the span of time that lead up to and was the moment when he killed his own father, but that’s kind of inferred later) I want the audience to be in the dark just like Sam.
The only time we ever get some sort of explanation or justification besides a few times in which Dean drunkenly confesses that dad was “different” after Sam left is right after Sam finds out what Dean did. Then I would dedicate an entire episode to Dean and John’s relationship post Sam and just what exactly made Dean snap. That’s also when we would find get an unobscured vision of John. It would be the first time Dean truly sees his dad for what he is.
Just posted the next chapter of my main fic! The end is nigh, folks. The end is nigh.
Spamton and Tenna, after many peaceful years in Castle Town, fall into disarray as their beloved daughter begins suffering the same glitchy symptoms as Spamton. Expressed through both perspectives and various flashbacks, they have to look into their pasts to overcome the future.
ooohhh so excited for reg to come into chosen!!!
with all the time hopping, do you think there will be any flashbacks to like, a time even before choices? into sirius and regulus’s childhood, kinda like the snow fort scene in choices?
oh yeah, absolutely! the more the story progresses, the more a) character povs we're gonna get and b) timelines
so it should be fun
Lena Luthor through the years...
I know this is coming a day late, but I love your Francisco and Luisa edit! Those two are wonderful and have been throu a lot in their long lives together! They deserve the world, but the world doesn’t deserve them. They lost both their daughters before their time and outlived both of them.
Thank you so much!
I can't stop thinking about them losing their daughters, they've been through too much 😭
I wish we got a chance to see more of their past in the show. How they met, how their love developed. It would be great!!
