- hero!techno and priest!phil embarking on a journey to defeat the entity that has begun to take over the world by hypnotising people to do its biding.
- rumour has it that there is a powerful mage that have mastery over many forbidden art and none was as strong as him.
- cue the duo trying to track down this mysterious mage
- their search led them to a quaint town in the wood in a far land. On first glance everything seems really peaceful and quiet, but something stands out as odd to them. You see, when they are trying to enter the village, they have passed by what could be described as a huge graveyard. The number of burial far exceeded what should have been a small village.
- still they try to keep their cool and ask around the village, yet to no avail.
- the villagers seem confused by the story of the great mage, as if they have never heard of such being. However, the villagers did point them to a nearby inn where they could rest up.
- frustrated by an empty lead, the duo have no choice but to stay the night, hoping that they would be able to dig out some valuable info.
- it was at the inn where they met Cornelius, the owner/attendant of the inn. Cornelius is everything a perfect host should be. They showed the duo around the inn, mentioning how the premise is really more like his personal home with how little visitor they have.
- when asked about the graveyard, Cornelius smile turns sour before they denied any knowledge of the site, only that the place radiates a sadness one could never really understand.
- as for the mysterious mage, well, Cornelius did know a thing or two, but what does it take for our heroes in return?
