That part of I Resolve where she Ilona sings "where men are concerned I'm always in the dark" is GENIUS. Like that's such a PERFECT double entendre. But also! The little musical clue that happens right after "dark"? *chef's kiss*

Thank you for this beautiful message, Miss Jemima 💗
ILONA QUEEN STAY STRONG
If I went to see a production of She Loves Me and we got to the moment where Kodaly tells Ilona he can't go to the Rathskeller and I was all prepared to hear I Resolve And Ilona started singing Heads I Win, I would incite a riot. Look, I'm not saying it's a bad song. I'm just saying that I Resolve is a MUCH BETTER song and why they ever felt the need to change it for London is completely beyond me.
I Resolve
I resolve to be braver this year. That's easy, right? Face every fear! I'll bring extra pants Or leave shit up to chance And hope there are bathrooms quite near. —Marcella Hammer
I woke up and realized...
...that over these past few years, I lost myself in others expectations.
Barbara Baxley technically has a less-than-great singing voice, but it really works perfectly for Ilona.
