The soldiers are from the English Civil War which happened between August 22, 1642 – and September 3, 1651.

Why Aziraphale was not wrong to request the "I was wrong" dance.

Crowley and Aziraphale both understand what's at stake by helping Gabriel, but Aziraphale, who believes everyone deserves second chances, chooses to help Gabriel/Jim even though Aziraphale is terrified of him. He sheltered his hereditary enemy under his wing during the first rainstorm. He will help those who need it.

Crowley refuses to help because he, too, is terrified of Gabriel, but he is also furious with him. He hates Gabriel for telling "Aziraphale" to shut his stupid mouth and die. He's so angry and so scared though that he chooses to leave instead of helping Aziraphale with Gabriel.

He only goes back to Aziraphale once he realizes how much danger Aziraphale is actually in because of Gabriel.

Crowley's top priority has always been protecting Aziraphale, and he left Aziraphale alone with Gabriel for hours. Aziraphale had called him because he needed Crowley to rescue him help him, but in his anger, Crowley left Aziraphale alone with someone he hated.

He knows Aziraphale is always going to try to do what is right, even if it scares him. He knows there is nowhere else for Jim to go because both sides are looking for him. He knows Aziraphale will do it alone if he has to. Aziraphale still does good things even though he no longer reports to Heaven.

Crowley left Aziraphale on his own. Aziraphale was in danger, and it was clear that hiding Gabriel was the only choice they had until they could figure out what was going on.
