i auditioned for a midsummer night's dream a couple days ago, mostly just as an excuse to have a captive audience i can recite shakespeare at for my audition monologue. i was thinking "oh, might be fun, might get to play a fairy or something, whatever."
the director just sent me an email heavily implying that he wants me as helena.
helena.
arguably the main character of the show, with multiple monologues, a rich character arc, and a damn good heap of comedic moments.
it's 5:20am. there's a good chance i'm dreaming this.
