Get Thrown into one of my muses painful memories (accepting) @part-of-a-blueberry
It was a night terror, they were horrible for a normal person...but to a Force Sensitive? It was like he was there again. Kanan crying out in his sleep was probably what attracted the boy, but Kanan was to trapped by the images-that once Ezra tried to wake him he was pulled into the nightmare as well.
Happy. The young Padawan was the happiest he’d been in his entire life. That was until a feeling hit him, a pain of a thousand deaths spread across the galaxy. His Master called his name, grabbed his arm and told him to run.
The boy froze, he could react. The shock, the feelings that spread through him. What were the Clones doing? This was wrong-they were all friends? Why was Master Billaba killing the Clones? Why where the Clones trying to kill them?
Kaylon, Remo...Mixx. They all go down at Master Billaba’s hands. She was killing them-but they were trying to kill them? It didn’t make sense.
“Padawan!”
She screamed at him again and he finally ignited his lightsaber. But he still wasn’t reacting, not properly. She told him he needed to fight or run, but he couldn’t just stand there. She was right, she was always right.
He started to fight, Soot and Big-Mouth went down. By his hands. They’d been sharing Meiloorun’s just a couple days before. More went down, the names going through his head each time he or his Master took a Clone down. This wasn’t real-this couldn’t be happening.
They were getting surrounded, even Master Billaba knew they couldn’t win.
“You must run.” She told him. “Go. I’ll be right behind you.” Her voice was as calm as ever, how could she be calm at a time like this?
It was the first time she’d ever lied to him. And Caleb knew she was lying to him. And he ran anyway.
More shots started coming at him, he didn’t even look back just swung his lightsaber and deflected them away.
“Styles no!” He stopped, glanced back and regretted it almost instantly. He turned just in time to see Styles shoot his Master down. Then the Clones kept shooting her-making sure she was dead?
She was gone-she’d died to save him. He didn’t know what to do-so he followed his Master’s last order he ran.
Kanan shot up with a scream, his body slick with sweat. He looked around with wide eyes, “Master-Master no-” He panted heavily, before his eyes landed on Ezra and the look he was given and he froze. “E-Ezra?” He choked out, teal eyes almost glistening with tears.
