“Since when do I over think anything?” Of course, her words came out rather sarcastic, although the sarcasm came out before she could stop it. Looking up at Aiden, her brows couldn’t help but furrow a little. She didn’t need to ask what he had said, because she heard him loud and clear. Still, that didn’t stop her from being somewhat confused. Why would be want to ask her out?

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to go on a date, it’s just that she’s never really been asked, considering nobody really did have the nerves to. She had to habit of coming off as… Well, hostile. There really was no excuse for her to say no. She looked up at Aiden, saying: “Okay then… How’s seven sound?”

Aiden frowned a little, wondering if he shouldn’t have asked. He honestly should go after less difficult women, he thought to himself, but he had always liked a challenge. Quite often he was thought of as the stupid jock, which he let happen despite his brother insisting he should show his real self more.

When she finally said that she would, he gave her a nod and a smile. “Seven sounds good. I could pick you up but then we’d have to take my bike...” Aiden began as he thought he probably could loan a car for a date. “Does dinner and a movie sound ok?”

Usually Jared loved his life. He owned several clubs all over the world and when he got bored he moved on throughout the continents. He often didn’t have much care in the world. Once in a while someone came along who turned all of that upside down though. Like Ray. A human bartender who made Jared want to reveal himself, his true self. None of that camouflage, just him.

And of course Ray had been scared of him, he should have known. They all were. But Ray had come back to him... which was a surprise all on its own. Jared had spoken more out of frustration than anything else. When you have seen it all, it sometimes was hard to have a feeling of wonder, of amazement, of...

Ray was on him faster than he had thought possible. The kiss was hard and with purpose. Since Jared didn’t need to breathe, it was Ray who pulled back first. “I guess I should say thank you.” The vampire spoke quietly as he cupped Ray’s cheek. “Are you afraid of me, Raymond?”

Where in the world did Arthur find this book? When did he wander off to the romance section of the book store? Even though his lover’s words were quiet and hushed, they had quite the effect on Salem. His face turned red and naughty images played through his mind.

“Whoa, whoa okay. I’m just glad you didn’t pick up that Fifty Shades of Crap because I might have left you here.” Salem took the book out of Arthur’s hand and closed it up. “…But you do have a very alluring reading voice.”

Arthur didn’t really go out to buy the book. His housekeeper had left it at his home. He knew that she brought it with her sometimes during lunch when he wasn’t around to talk to. He had taken it up in the evening and it made him think of Salem, the very reason why he had brought it with him.

“Do you really think that I have such poor taste?” Arthur asked as he pointedly looked at his boyfriend. He chuckled when the book was closed and he reached out to caress Salem’s cheek. “Has it given you a few ideas?”

A comfort with minimum touch, that was what Vicente had been going for. Knowing just an inkling of what Fenris had gone through, he respected as much as he could the distance between them. “It is nice to hear you laugh.” Vicente smiled softly himself as he squeezed Fenris hand gently and then let go.  “Are you feeling better now?”

After their first encounter in the coffee bar Alex had frequented the bar more often than before when he was home. That was not very often, and after a few visits he had explained to Kai that he was a tennisplayer and only home for a day here and there when he was not at a tournament or training. They had managed to arrange a date (neither of them was calling it that however) and had a genuine good time, topped off with a few beers.

They had been sitting in silence for a few minutes when he felt Kai brush a hand over his arm and he looked at the young man beside him. The hesitation in his voice was clear, accompanied by the blush on his cheeks as he pulled Alex closer. “Whatever the question... the answer is yes.” Alex made it easier on Kai and leaned in so they were only inches apart. “Go for it.” He whispered.

His feelings had bothered him for weeks, the weeks that Alec had been absent. He had struggled with thim, tried not to smile back to the other side of the building when a smile was directed at him, but in the end it was futile. It felt like cheating although he wasn’t even touching his love interest, and he wanted to come clean to his boyfriend. It had come out in a stutter while they were sitting together, and the reaction was just about what he had expected.

“I didn’t mean for it to happen.” Jace whispered as he looked up to Alec, the man meant so much to him it was ridiculous. “And I know it can’t... it’s just a fantasy of what might be possible.” He shrugged, it didn’t seem all too important anymore, he wasn’t going to act on the crush he felt. “They wouldn’t make me happy... not like you can.” Licking his lips he reached out to touch Alec’s hand. “I don’t want to keep secrets, Alec.”

Tommy had just arrived in this city and he hoped it was far enough to get away from his family. They were far down south and hopefully not searching for him anymore like they had done the first few days after he had ‘run away’. He had needed to be on his own after all he had learned from his family.

For some reason this apartment had been empty and cheap. It was perfect in the middle of town and not far from the small time job that he had landed the day before. The landlord looked around the apartment a little nervously and Tommy wanted to ask questions but he wasn’t going to be picky. The apartment felt a little colder than it should but it had been empty for six months.

“Thank you.” He smiled at the landlord, having been able to pay for a few months in advance. He didn’t even have any furniture but at least he would have a roof over his head. When he turned after the door closed he nearly jumped out of his skin as he saw... a man standing near the window.

“What the hell?” He asked as he put down his bag.

Arthur and Tobias had been arguing for a solid half hour before they both realised how ridiculous it was. It was true, they had spend too little time together in the last couple of months ,work had been crazy on both ends with usually one of them ending up in a hotelroom rather than their own bed. Arthur had almost sighed the words, that he didn’t want to give up on Tobias, on them. He loved the other too much to let go even when things got rough, but this was no way for them to continue.

“No, you can’t quit your job. You love it ,I wouldn’t want to ask that of you.” Arthur shook his head, it was out of the question. They would just have to endure for a little while longer. “You can’t make up your own schedule... but I can.” He murmured in thought before reaching out to take Tobias’ hand. “One day every two weeks to ourselves should be doable. Even if I have to fly out to meet you somewhere. I don’t want us to end up as strangers to each other.”
