Caderousse calling Dantès arrogant T-T like ok. i didn’t see that at all.. I guess I cant blame Caderousse entirely though. Danglars probably worked on him beforehand and gave him some pre-conceived idea of how Dantès would act.

I’m studying occitan/provençal right now and i find myself double-taking wherever I see Catalan… The two languages used to be considered the same, and I think they’re still mutually understandable today in the same way Swedish and Danish are.

I remember just thinking.. eh.. romance… Like on it’s own, this bit didn’t do much because I hadn’t seen anything between them before so few feelings? But I guess knowing what’s coming has made me feel something for them.
