I like the little voices/impressions I do. They aren’t very good but they seem to get a laugh from someone, either my friends or just me.

I’m not a good talker, but I think I’m a very good listener.

I’m suuuper good at strategy and sneaking in video games. There are a lot of times where I out think people in multiplayer and this power DEFINITELY came from my time playing AC Brotherhood multiplayer.

i have a whole rant about this (as i always do) but the point is that i actually really do like hudson’s approach to shane being autistic as like, there is no actual justifiable reason anyone in his social circles would realize he is autistic & then encourage him to get a diagnosis. yeah someone like shane WOULD just be called weird & high strung - and in fact that exactly happens throughout the season! - and no one would actually realize shane is autistic but that doesn’t mean he is not autistic. he very much is. but it is very easy to just write off his behavior as “quirky” and not in an ~ambiguous disorder~ way but in the very real “if no one around you knows this word could possibly apply why would they ever even bring it up?” sort of way. they DON’T shy away from making shane autistic; he just isn’t diagnosed, in a realistic way.

Alphys does this by trying to engineer a scenario where she seems heroic & cool #and it's contrived and falls apart in the end but we learn so much about her. we learn about her and her self doubt and tv show opinions #like we get a general sense of her personality. even if the True Lab stuff doesn't come up until later we get to know her in Hotland #Gaster? he's been spectating us for ages and we don't know dick about him lol #he didn't even introduce himself with a name. maybe he's not able to for some reason but #the fact that he seemingly represents an inability to be known or acknowledged even by the mechanics of these games #that typing his name in and of itself induces a reset to the world. i mean #it's possible that's completely involuntary but can we not also infer this concept of not wanting to be known is in some ways conscious too #maybe he thinks it's irrelevant to the experiment for us to know amything about him but?#what is this connection he so cherishes with us if we don't know anything about him?#i mean yeah it's fun to mutually study each other and infer things but #it's easy to look at Alphys and assume she's worse with people but. we see her struggle BECAUSE she tries to do things that scare her #at what point do u get to speculate this guy only looks so composed BECAUSE he keeps us at arm's length. despite wanting to connect so bad #idk it's just very funny. ever since i was young, i loved to see fictional men have messed up relationships with their fathers. i think the main appeal lay in the novelty of a man being in such a powerless position, where he's not really a man at all but a son, at the mercy of his father's inherent dominance over the family.

however in recent years, as many of you know, i've discovered the wonders of fictional girls having messed up relationships with their fathers. and that's sort of a different ball game when it comes to power dynamics. it's less a plot twist and more a twist of the knife.

she's powerless in the family, but she isn't given power outside of it either, so her father can throw around his weight even more effectively. and where conflict often arises from a father forcing his son to be just like him, his daughter is seen as someone who can never be like him. there's greater disparity and greater separation.

I just realized. One thing that Optimus will certainly be educated on by the Primes in the Haunted AU is the various was One Can Kill A Quintesson! Leaving some Autobots confused at times when he's teaching them in return because 'This sounds pretty Specific...???'

It's slightly competitive on the Primes' part because yeah, the Deceptions do got the High Guard being good at killing Quintessons too but. They're the Real Experts. (Are they salty? Naaaah they're not. Much. Kinda.)

they got so good at squishing the goddamn bugs and they're thrilled they can save Optimus the pain of figuring out their weak points through trial and error like they did. they're gonna make a pro out of their baby brother in no time.

and if they just so happen to know some of the Decepticons will be majorly pissed off at the fact OP is already on par with the best of what used to be the High Guard when he only has a fraction of their experience... well, happy coincidences, y'know?

and if they happen to teach Optimus how to crack open a Quintesson in just the right way to make some Decepticons see ghosts through him... that's between them and the people they're haunting :)

#hey i got an ask #funsizedkola #transformers #transformers one #tf one #optimus prime #tf jazz #haunted au #my art #i am. so sorry this took so long. there's literally no good explanation i don't know where time went OTL #on a different note!#this ask reminded me of one of my favorite tf fics ever. it's called 'Nor Is He Early' and it features a delightful version of the matrix #and the role of prime that i haven't found anywhere else #it isn't really that similar to this au but it does feature OP being able to access the memories of previous holders #and some of those memories are about how to kill quintessons and all the trauma that comes with that #delighful i tell you #i think in this au optimus *can* access memories from the thirteen #but they just prefer to teach him the normal way #mostly because they think it's better from optimus to learn things in his own body rather than from someone else's memory #but also because those memories are Not Good. optimus is already going through his own war and they'd rather he not carry #memories from another one he wasn't even alive to live through #and if he struggles to pick something up they prefer to show him through memories of sparring they did with each other #and the high guard than to show him real battles #they Know it's no use. optimus had already died once before they even met him. they won't be able to protect him from this war #nor any other that comes next. but still they can't help but try #so... yeah ajshdjksa

#kh #kingdom hearts #kairi #kairi kh #my art #drew this back in march last year! i believe it was the same day i finished playing kh1 #i had to study for an exam but i wanted to draw kairi instead so 👍#this one was really fun! the direction changed as i was working on it #originally i planned to use the default colors #but when i realized i couldn't accurately represent the thalassas i shifted to selecting the colors by hand #i had also drawn the charm much smaller in the sketch but it got bigger when i started rendering #something i struggled a lot with in this one was the face #i had difficulties with shading it and i thought i made her expression too creepy #but i got somewhere i liked though #i think i only found her expression offputting because of just how much of her face is covered up. it limits personality #SLAms head directly on table. i just had a thought #if meteor shower promise between sora and riku is real and that's how sora got his necklace #that was a promise to protect each other and sora was not expected to return the necklace. the charm #by contrast. the kairi-sora interaction in traverse town...#sora said the adventure was too dangerous. clearly sora was in danger too. they could have promised to protect each other #instead their promise related to the charm itself-- not to keep it but to return it #do you get what i'm trying to say here?#sora and riku thought they may be in danger so they promised to engage but keep each other safe. they gave each other a charm to keep #sora and kairi thought they may be in danger so they avoided it and separated. sora promised to return the charm he was given #the interactions played out oppositely...#anyway haha yeah kairi and her thalassa charm! so cool! i love drawing!
