Hi! I read your chapter 8 of Its a Hollow play. I really love that fanfiction. It is just great to see some fanfiction that acknowledges his trauma.
In the notes you mentioned that you have a scrap folder for different scenes, I am just curious just how does that work? It seems interesting and helpful.
I think of so many scenes for my fanfiction, but I don't write them ahead of time because I worry that they might not go with the story, and I am scared that I won't be able to manage it properly.
I just want to know how you manage it.
Also thank you for writing an amazing fanfiction!
Have a nice day!
‘Lo =] Thank you for reading!<3 I’m slowlyy chipping away at it, so I can’t wait to eventually, finally share the rest. & yess I’m always seeking those out, as well! It’s important to me that his trauma is acknowledged instead of glossed over.
That’s how it started, for me! I’ve got so many ideas for scenes/conversations in my fic that I’m too excited about/impatient to wait to write them. So, I just go ahead and write! I end up using most of them, even if not verbatim to how I wrote them in the scraps folder.
I call it my brainstorming folder so it takes the pressure off. No wrong answers, even if I don’t exactly use what I wrote! I highlight things I love & want to weave somewhere into the story. Even if I end up scrapping the overall scene, there might still be parts of it I can take and use somewhere else.
If you have an idea for a scene that you’re interested in writing, go for it! Even if you don’t end up using it in your story, it’s fun to write something you’re excited about writing. And you might come up with something you can break apart and fit into your fic someplace else or save it for another one down the road.
I don’t think there’s really a wrong way to do it. :D
[Bob Ross Voice] this is your fanfiction !
