Stake Conference

So this weekend was Stake Conference.  I miss last night’s session as I was working however I did go this morning.  It was in our ward this time.  The Stake President(Carter) went on last and had a nice talk about Judgment(there is a a reason I am mentioning it).  However after the Conference I decided to stay where I was in the pew as I got anxious around a lot of strangers. It was a good decision as I got to meet the stake president and my Bishop said he wanted to talk to me.

It was about an hour and half after stake conference ended when I finally got to to talk to him.  The first thing we discussed was what ward I would be in as I technically should be in another ward but this one is closer.  Bishop said I could at the one I have been going to and that he was going to tell the missionaries that they can meet me at my house.  so yay!

However, the topic changed to me being transgender.  I kind of knew this was coming up and had prayed about it.  He said I can still go to relief society and still dress in skirts and dresses.  However I am to use the family/unisex bathrooms and not the womens(this is fine by me as I don’t typically like to use the bathroom while at church).

Now this next thing is why I mentioned the talk about Judgment.  He wants me to to start telling the other ward members that I am transgender as a way for people to understand and to accept transgenders.  So now I feel like Alma when he had to go back to Ammonihah to preach the gospel.  so yeah there is that. 

Now I need to work on getting my temple garments as I nowhere near ready for that.  I still have questions about the whole thing but I feel that as long as I place my faith in Jesus and our heavenly father, everything will turn out for the best.

I have felt nothing but love so far since returning to the church and hopefully that love will continue.
