#douladiaries The journey towards completing my doula certification continues. While today's breastfeeding class was informative, it was steeped in the practices of medicine which, in my humble opinion, strip expecting mother's of the knowledge that their bodies are wonderfully created to handle the many aspects of childbirth "naturally". Pregnancy, childbirth, and even breastfeeding is a beautiful dance between mother and child that often balances itself when allowed to flow uninterrupted but medicine often seeks to bypass and expedite the process.
