iamala replied to your post “The question is do I make reading all the Marvel Now x men comics my...”
Dissertation because the you can get a degree and get a job and get money so really it's securing your future comic wealth.
Sssssh I'm already safely on my course for next year it's all good :p Also yeah dissertation will get done bc it needs to. But I will be reading x men as well.
iamala replied to your post “*whispers* i changed my sexuality in my navi look at me go”
What's navi?
oh it's just my all-in-one page on here, like it has my about and tags and etc so navi is just an easier way to say it!
Sorry for placing my questions into the submit box.
"If Teddy/Hulkling were to become the new Captain Marvel someday (and something like that were to be announced at SDCC first) and was also going to get his very own comic series, what would your first reaction be to the news? What do you think would cause Teddy to take up the CM mantle? How would other Marvel characters react to Teddy being Capt. Marvel? Where would the young adult hero’s new super pad be (which hideout would he used as his new place of residence)? Who would be Teddy Marvel’s first villain in the long list of his very own rogues gallery? When do you think he/she/it will appear to battle the brand-new CM? Finally..would Ted become a full fledged A-List Hero in the Marvel ‘verse AND our reality?"
Ok first off don’t worry about asking questions in the admit box - I’m just happy someone’s talking to me! Secondly unfortunately I’m probably not the best person to ask about this kind of thing - I’ve only ever read one issue of young avengers, and obviously I posted that picture from the current Hulk series, but that was mostly because of Doc Green - I really don’t know enough about Teddy to answer this! But I think people might be annoyed that it wasn’t Kamala Kahn if someone was to take over from Carol Danvers. Also here are some awesome people who would be far more equipped to answer these questions : katebishhop and iamala
iamala said: A lot of our lecturers like doing feminist reading so they’re more likely to apologise for the lack of queer reading mid lecture or something- even though we broads study the same books everyone else does.
Yeah see we just don't have that here... Apart from one lecturer who is beautifully bitter about the whole situation. Oh well.
iamala said: See, first module of my lit. course was—- what is the canon? The canon is typically a sexist racist privileged list of books, you should always argue with the canon. Because I think half our lecturers are socialists :)
Jealous... In fairness the lecturers are mostly pretty liberal, the university just doesn't hire many people who are specialists in women's writing/queer issues etc. Plus the one lecturer who does that stuff in the English dept is on sabbatical for half of this year.
iamala replied to your post “I wanna go to uniiiii I don’t wanna wait a week ugh”
I'm getting fed up waiting for my course to start and I have a month to go. When do you move in? (Did you find a place okay?)
I can't wait I just want to learrrrn new thinnnngs dammit and even once I get up there I have to wait for stupid induction week to be over
I'm moving into the first place (with my future flatmate and her mum) on the 6th, and then we're staying there until the 30th when the place we signed for becomes available :)
