Random Avengers Question
Okay, yes, I haven’t uploaded another chapter of my story ‘To Be Worthy’ to tumblr and I’m sorry for that but I just had a sudden thought. Correct me if I’m wrong but Thanos is the last living Titan AKA the last of his race. And he used the infinity stones to destroy half of every single race. My question is this:
Why did half of Thanos not get destroyed?
How does one use Tumblr?
I am looking for pictures of a particular UA student. The one who broke his arms at the sports festival. Also, what is this tagging? Is there some sort of game I’m supposed to add to this app?
The resolution of The Grinning Man where Dea is actually Ursus’ daughter always annoys me. The whole village (hundreds of people, as Ursus recalls) is making its way to the docks. Surely there can’t be only ONE red-haired woman in the whole village, right? And why was she already on the ship and he wasn’t? Why didn’t he board the ship after mutilating a child (no don’t answer that) And the poor woman gave birth in the snow on her own? And Grinpayne never mentions her ever again while growing up? Also, Dea is wearing a necklace that has her name in it, surely Ursus and his wife had decided on that name together.... right?
I am so, SO sorry, guys.
But I had to do this.
Yes, I don't like her design. Deal with it. And I guess I am not alone, for sure.
Got inspired after seeing some Overwatch post on Tumblr...
@loverofthebirbs , what do ya think?
You need to have some fun Iruka-San
What do you mean? I had lots of fun. I slept for a full hour. I think that's fun.
Despite the new cover, I played NightBound and I did Cal's scene, and when things were getting hot that bitch stopped things because supposedly she had to sleep, but when Nik entered the room suddenly she wanted to got out of the room and know the citty?! What the hell?
Who is Charioce?
Well, up until this (22) episode it was ok for me just watching the show, but now… Holy shit I have so many emotions, and I cannot handle them by myself! So, I started this blog, haha.
I must say that I had really high hopes for this series, and even though I still like it, something feels…wrong for me… But whatever. I’d like to talk about characters of the series and since Charioce is the main character like Nina I will start with him. I won’t talk about ChariNina and I’ll leave it for another post.
We still don’t know nothing about Charioce, while it would be good to know at least something more, than his mother was killed by Bahamut. If authors wanted us to believe that the king is a martyr, they should have showed us some flashbacks of his past: his life, his relationship with mother, the day Bahamut killed her… And it would be even better if Chari had a couple of moments with inner thoughts, that could show us he is trying to do good for his people. Right now, at least for me, he looks pretty hollow character. But, damn, he is the main character of the story and, yet, Azazel and Jeanne, supportive characters, have a rich backstory and their motives are clear and understandable. Chari is a mystery and “mystery” not in a good way. Maybe it’s just a plot move and everything will be revealed in the end, but even if not, it’s authors will and we must accept. At the same time no one forbid us to discuss plot decisions and characters. I just want to share my look at the characters.
At the beginning of the series Chari was showed to us as a cruel king.
He attacked demons, destroyed their capital and enslaved them. Well, let’s remember that demons actually attacked and killed humans, so it could be understandable, why humans decided to destroy them in return. But it’s not right to slaughter all race, especially when the show tells us, that demons are not pure evil. In this case humankind looks pretty evil. With Charioce in the lead humans became demons: part of the demon race is slaughtered, part is used as a free manpower, which you can abuse and no one will give a shit, part is used in cruel entertainments, part is used as prostitutes and another part is used as laboratory rats. Great. I guess it’s not what makes kings remembered as kind and merciful. At the same time it’s not like Charioce care about it.
Charioce attacked gods and slaughtered them as well as demons. The reason???
Charioce brought a lot of suffering to Jeanne and Mugaro. From the beginning Jeanne didn’t want to be involved in anything and stayed away from the king as he ordered her to do. And only because she helped an angel and because her little innocent child had power (that she didn’t intend to use against the king!), Chari decided to kill them off (no negotiation, no, who need it?). And when Jeanne was imprisoned, he always reminded her that he would find and kill her son. It’s interesting, why he acted like that towards Jeanne and Mugaro, mother and son, since he, who loved his mother deeply, should have probably understand Jeanne’s motives… I guess it’s a wide field for creating hc.
Charioce imprisoned Favaro and sent him to the arena for entertainment. Once again, the reason??? Chari should have known that Favaro stopped Bahamut. Why he decided to mock him instead of trying to cooperate and becoming allies? I can’t explain it.
Charioce is indifferent to his own people. Look. He forbade praying to gods, when people have been doing it for centuries, and didn’t give a damn about his citizens opinions. Because of two wars, humans have two blood enemies, who can easily unite against them and it actually happens. So Charioce put his own people in a great danger and this is despite the fact, that fighting with demons and gods wasn’t Charioce’s goal. The usage of his super weapon is limited, so what he would do if the united army of angels and demons attacked the capital before Chari could do something about Bahamut? With this weapon he would probably kill them, but his dream of defeating Bahamut would have been ruined and a lot of people would have died in vain. It didn’t happen though. But let’s look, what he have right now. A giant monster, who can destroy the whole world, is awaken. Chari wants to lead it to the capital and kill it there. And, well, the evacuation order was given a few hours (at least, it looked like it) before the awakening of Bahamut?! The fuck, excuse me?! And I don’t even want to mention, that the capital is not the only place, where people live. They will be really surprised… Oh, yeah, that will be super funny, if the Charioce’s plan doesn’t work. Because no one can guarantee, that Bahamut wouldn’t burn him alive on the way and even would love to follow Chari.
Why Chari is in a rush? If the translation was correct, the time of Bahamut awakening is unknown. At Abos we saw a little signs of Bahamut activity (that flying sand) – it didn’t look like he would awake at any minute. Bahamut could have slept another two thousand years! Chari didn’t have to wait for so long, but at least he could spend some more time on studying the weapon, because are you sure you can trust Martinet’s words? And I completely don’t understand why Chari didn’t unite with gods and demons! I am more than ever sure, that they would have been happy to get rid off Bahamut. If Chari wanted to eliminate not only Bahamut, but demons and angels as well, he still could work together with them and then could cynically kill them off (if he would survive of course).
And yet again why Chari has so much hate against demons and gods? We still don’t know for sure, but in my hc he has it because of the same stuff with Bahamut. Bahamut was awakened because of the Beelzebub, the demon, and angels could not protect the key from Amira (demon-angel). I don’t think little Chris knew about it, though. I guess, that was revealed to him, when he became older. But he knew, that the demon caused all of this madness. Bahamut went on rampage: everything was burning and collapsing, people were dying and trying to save themselves. Some of them could pray to gods for help. Chris or his mother were praying too, but no one come to help them. I guess Chris’s mother sacrificed herself to save him. Desperate prayer to gods wasn't heard (we won’t forget that gods were really busy), it was useless. And Chris decided that he will avenge not only Bahamut, demons, but angels as well, because praying to them is useless – they don’t do anything. Humans will live in peace if only Bahamut, angels and demons do not exist.
It’s a pretty big post and I’ll end it here. But Charioce will get my attention again. Right now I think that the simpliest way to describe him is to use the quote “End justifies the means”.
P.S.
English isn’t my native language – sorry for the mistakes!
