Sure)This manga is fully translated into Russian on the manga-site “mintmanga.com”. I read it there ^^.

It also has a Chinese translation here: http://m.dmzj.com/info/emengfunk.htmlBut what about English source… It looks like translators just started working on “Nightmare Funk”. When the chapters of the manga were still coming out, I didn’t see any English translation.  I tried to look for it now and found this site with 4 English chapters: https://mangarock.com/manga/mrs-serie-100121160In search you can use Japanese name (ナイトメア・ファンク) or Chinese (噩梦Funk). I hope, I helped you :) This manga is pretty interesting (there were one thing, though, which to me was like “WTF” :D) and has charismatic characters, the art style is cool. I still don’t understand, why “NF” was shutted down T_T In my opinion, the story had a lot of potential.

Hello Dean

A/N: SPOILER WARNING FOR SPN SEASON 13! This drabble contains my headcanon version of the call we didn’t hear in episode 13X05 Advanced Thanatology.

Sam roused with a yawn, pinching the bridge of his nose to focus his vision.

Dean flinched at the buzzing of his cell, snatching up and pressing the phone to his ear, muttering, “Yeah?”

An automated flat feminine voice announced on the other end, “You have a collect call from-”

Dean grimaced, weakly rolling his eyes as he listened, convinced any and all collect calls initiated since the late 90s had to be either pranks, lonesome jail birds, or random hunters calling to beg them to wire bail money to some Podunk town where they’d crossed the wrong sheriff in their hunt for the supernatural.

“What? Cas-Casti-,” the recording was muffled, cut off, and layered with static, but the gravelly intonation and awkwardness of the caller were all too familiar.

Dean tensed, the minute muscle fibers running from his neck to his shoulders seizing rigid. He cast a disbelieving glance at his brother, questioning if what he heard was real. If it could be real. Cas was dead. They burned his body. It couldn’t be him.

“To accept charges for this call, please say yes or no.”

Or could it? Grasping at the dangled thread of hope, Dean’s neck snapped back to the road ahead. Face illuminated by the glare of an oncoming truck, heart pounding, he exhaled the breath he didn’t know he was holding in, saying, “Yes.”

“Connecting call.”

Fingers coiled taut in a white-knuckled grip on the steering wheel, he waited.

“Hello Dean.”

So good! *0* I can literally hear their voices in that scene! This moment in the show was fantastically played by Jensen, and no words was needed - just the look on Dean’s face said everything. But this drabble added the scene so well! I really liked Castiel’s confusion - it resembles the good old times of season five.

Two years passed, but I’m still in love with Takemura-san’s art style *_* I love this moment with Claus in manga. He looks so powerful and cold-blooded, yet he is broken inside.

I can’t believe people have the guts to compare Favamira’s love story with Chari.nina. When their couple is so badly written that they need to drag a good relationship to make their ship slightly better. I just don’t get it, what is their problem? Their ship is canon and lived happy together. Maybe is time to stop trashing other couples that got a real tragic ending?

Well, the show itself insisted that these two pairings are comparable, because during last episodes of VS we had a lot of parallels between Favaro’s story and Nina’s story. 

When in episode 18 Nina was screaming “I love you”, who did approached her to talk? Favaro. He knew, that Nina fell in love with Charioce, and he decided to talk with her about right decisions, clearly thinking about Amira (we even had a flashback). And then Favaro screamed “I love you” just like Nina did. He teased her, but it also was the message to viewers, that FavaMira and ChariNina are comparable. 

In episode 22 Favaro was the one, who decided to “protect” Charioce in front of Nina, who was…weeell, ready to oppose him. Favaro didn’t know the whole truth (about Mugaro), but still the scene was more likely made to assure viewers, that Charioce is innocent. 

Destiny theme. Favaro was a knight from a legend, who will defeat Bahamut. Charioce decided, that his destiny to kill Bahamut once and for all.  

Amira and Nina are quiet similar: they are childish, kind, naïve; they are strong and eat a lot, not simple humans. 

In the last episode it was clearly stated that FavaMira and ChariNina are comparable. Firstly, Favaro’s talk with Nina and all that sacrifice thing (to be honest, I can’t understand about what choice they talked about – Favaro didn’t have a choice: if he didn’t stab Bahamut, Amira would had been still inside the dragon, the only difference – the whole world would had been destroyed (if angels or demons wouldn’t had saved the day somehow), and Favaro would had died). Secondly, “together against Bahamut” theme. Thirdly, Amira’s appearance and her message to Favaro, which she passed through Nina. 

So, what I wanted to say? It’s understandable, why fans compare these two pairings, because it’s clear, that the authors of VS compares them too… Anyway, you can ship and compare whatever you want.

As for me, I think, it was a weak and too obvious comparison (in the last episodes, I almost heard the writer saying “They’re the same, ship it, ship it”). At least, if only we had a proper story for ChariNina, then the comparison would be possible and pretty harmonic… But I would prefer them to be different from FavaMira. I actually liked this ship in protagonist/antagonist relationship.

I still believe AzaNina’s potential at the beginning of the show more resembled FavaMira’s chemistry.

I didn’t wanted to start a debate with something I posted on my personal blog for venting propose without main tags, but I will reply.

I think you misunderstood my post, I didn’t ask the reasons why they compared the couples. I obviously can see all the forced comparison the author did with them in virgin soul. I just dislike when a good developed relationship between two well written characters (Fav/amira) is being put as the same level of a shallow undeveloped illogical romance (Char/nina), is a cheap trick of the authors. Also the Favaro of this season is not the same one from Genesis, his entire role was making Char and the ship more likeable even with that ooc speech during episode 22, he read the script very well. 

I was refereeing to some post I read comparing Favamira’s flaws and interactions during Genesis with all the things Char/inina had, considering Chario is a dictator and Nina was almost backstabbing her own friends, there aren’t many similarities between their concepts.

They made a cruel parallel between them, is true that Favaro tried to kill Amira because she was a demon and he was saving himself but none of that is comparable to Charioce’s atrocities which doesn’t even benefit his “destiny” of killing bahamut. Everything is grey doesn’t work here, there is no moral equivalence between them or their romances.

Sorry. I didn’t pay the attention to the tags and I didn’t mean to debate. Just when I saw your post about FavaMira and ChariNina I couldn’t pass by (I actually wanted to write about them in my own post).

If briefly, I do understand your frustration and do agree with you. In my opinion, what he have with ChariNina isn’t comparable to FavaMira’s story, but authors think otherwise, and some ChariNina fans will agree with them. That’s all.

Anyway, I’m sorry. Next time I will pay the attention.

Poor Charioce he was a misunderstood hero all along and deserve happiness

The author described Charioce as: “The perfect man, charismatic, with a gentle and pure heart”. The viewer can easily debunk that statement in seconds. 

This is the Gary Stu of 2017, all the good characters from Genesis were defending him and even dying for him. He embodies what happens when you get too ambitious creating a character, the result is just a flat attempt of a “grey” hero with a personality as deep as a children’s pool. He got zero character development and zero backstory. He still the same tyrant from the first episodes, just now with a girlfriend. 

Since they forgot the original concept of Charioce here you have a friendly reminder of who he really is. This is the type of guy who got a happy lovely ending, never suffering, never regretting his decisions, never paying, never being the butt of a joke and always winning.

I can understand, why authors called Charioce charismatic, but where they saw “gentle and pure heart”? Maybe deep inside he is kind and caring, but we never had a chance to see his true self. EVEN AT THE END. He was a cool antagonist. I miss him...

I found their relationship far more interesting back when the potential for conflict between Nina’s fire and his bloodshed was still on the table.

I think Nina’s point of view was in letter form because she lost her voice.

Sure, Nina can’t talk now, but her point of view could be presented in a form of inner monologue, for example. I mean, she can’t write about everything she thinks or feels in a letter, because she doesn’t want to make her mother worry, and, well, her mother doesn’t know most of Nina’s friends. There is no need for Nina to write about them in details. The letter thing looks pretty harmonical though, because it rounds off the narrative (in the first episode Nina writes a letter and in the last one too). And in this aspect I liked it.But we don’t have Nina’s perspective on the things, that happened. She just states the facts. There are no emotions in them. I would love to hear her reflexion, her thoughts. I guess, the main thing that I didn’t like in VS was the lack of main characters (Nina and Charioce) self-reflexion. Nina had some moments, but Charioce didn’t. That’s why they seems too simle to me.But, well, it is just my opinion ^^ I hope, I explained my position.Thanks for asking :)
