They left in covered wagons and on horseback for the California Coast. Those who made it - those are the SURFERS riding the wave of life and prosperity. They pushed through adversity including weather, natives, disease, fatigue and broken down wagons to name just a few. Yet they persevered. • On the other hand, there were those who did not push on.
