38. What is your most prized possession?
I’m sorry I didn’t see this; I haven’t been online much lately.
Over the course of years, so many things that have been precious to me have been lost to moves or time or damage (let me tell you how 7 kids can completely decimate beautiful inherited things). Even my ex contributed to the loss pile by throwing a bunch of boards into the garage without regard to the fact that all 12 place settings and completer dishes of my grandmother’s china were stored in boxes in the back of the garage, right where he was chucking 2x6x8’ lumber. Sigh.
Anyway, these days I hold possessions rather loosely because they’re not as important to me as people. But I’d have to say I own 5 things that are precious to me:
My pink-ring wedding band with Wolf
My grandmother’s Banjo
The family picture box
An out of print copy of the cookbook Cocolat
My yarn stash, which is in a constant state of flux, and holds so much creative potential (and incidentally is probably worth several thousand dollars)
Thanks for asking!
