to ‘still’ watch cartoons would imply i ever did. i mean, i did some as a kid, but mostly from boredom rather than interest. (the good ones were always annoyingly short.)

so yeah. no childhood magic here.

the book was so good and the movie was so bad. i mean, i love hangman’s curse but i loved nightmare academy more and now i would be terrified if they made an adaption of nightmare academy. terrified.

somewhere in time was also terrible. as was gone with the wind. i watched the former cos my mom thought she remembered it as a good movie (we were both deceived) and the latter with a hilariously misguided classic-equals-good mentality (protip: it does not).

Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?

bank accounts and false identities, probably.

though, if i had enough money to call it ‘treasure’, that would not be getting literally buried any time soon. i am so very ready to be so very done with living paycheck to paycheck.

iamneverwithout prompted: soulmates meeting for the first time? possibly at a con

Sam really figures that maybe he should have some cosplays on hand that aren't Marvel. He's already got Captain America and Spider-Man and Quicksilver and he's working on Iron Man, but that suit's kind of a bitch to make. He really wants to work on some from Star Wars and maybe Star Trek, and those would probably be easier to make than a suit entirely made out of metal, but once he starts a project he can't seem to finish it.

He's not rocking the Iron Man suit or the Spiderman suit or any full-body mostly uncomfortable suit today, thank god, but he is wearing a lot of green makeup thanks to his friend Rachel Berry, who feels that it's necessary to always keep an Elphaba costume on hand just in case someone ever needs her to drop everything and go onstage at a minute's notice. (She'd probably do it, too.) His clothes are black and yellow cotton, so they breathe a little easier, though he's probably smearing green body paint all over anything his skin touches.

He's just glad that the Hulkling has blonde hair, too, so he doesn't have to add any crap up top.

He thinks he sees a girl decked out in purple a few booths down, and he beelines towards her, thinking she might be a Kate Bishop cosplay. As he gets closer, he's more and more sure that he's right, and even better, there's a boy she's talking to with straightened black hair and a red cut-off cape. A Billy to his Teddy.

Suddenly, as he moves, his heart starts to race, pounding in his chest, and the skin above it starts to feel warm, right where there's a name of a person he's never met tattooed across his heart. He feels excited, in a way that he's never felt before, and he's not even really sure why.

"...Tina, for the last time, I'm not going to wear my hair like this ever again- What?"

"Blaine, turn around!" Tina, or the Kate Bishop cosplay, squeals, pointing at Sam. He figures she's figured out the same thing, that she's found a matching Teddy cosplay to Blaine's Billy, but all Sam can focus on is the name that comes out of her mouth.

Blaine.

The boy turns around, and suddenly everything seems to click. Sam's heard all of the symptoms before, the heart racing, the burning name as you got close to your soulmate, and, as soon as Sam's eyes lock with Blaine's for the first time, the feeling that for that moment there is nothing in the world except Blaine.

He totally meant to start the conversation by introducing himself as Teddy Altman and asking if he could instagram a picture with his fellow Young Avengers, but all that he chokes out is...

"Blaine?"

Blaine blinks in disbelief, and Sam can feel that he's feeling the same way too.

"I...Sam?" 

Sam nods, confirming what Blaine was thinking, that they really have just found their soulmates.

"Hi."

What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up? Why would it be hard to lose?

hmm.

the internet, maybe. almost all of my friends live there, my stories are stored on it, and the internet helps with researching for said stories. i love learning new things.

my sight, maybe. i discussed this with a friend for a while a couple of days ago: which would you rather lose, your sight or your hearing? and i said definitely i’d rather be deaf. i rely on my eyes for so much, not just getting around but … idk, my artistic skills are mostly visual, and my constant transitory appreciation of everything around me would be severly impinged if i could only hear it.

my life, maybe. i know where i’m going when i die and i can’t wait to get there, but the will to live is strong.

my mobility, maybe, for the same reason as my sight. i could live without it but it gives me a reason to live. i daydream constantly about traveling and moving and road trips and new places and new faces and new experiences.

hmm.

let’s go with ‘my mobility.’

19. If you could change your eye color, would you?

Uhm, if i changed my eye color I'd probably just like adjust the color. I like having brown eyes. I'd probably just change them so that they're like- you know how like your eyes change color a little in different lighting? Well in like early morning sunlight lighting things my eyes are like hazel and gold-y and it's pretty cool. I'd make them look like that but always.

35. Did you have a dream last night?

I have a dream most every night. I don't really remember what it was though. I do remember that it was very intense and dramatic but that's it.

15) How do you vent your anger?

um.

i guess i sort of aggressively avoid people and slam things? sometimes i combine anger and stupidity and get passive-aggressively sarcastic with people.

y’know. healthy ways.

20) Do you believe in ghosts? How about aliens?

not as such. i’d say i believe in the possibility of ghosts and aliens. like, i don’t agree with a lot of the evidence for ghosts cos a lot of it feels very hoaxy and/or does not take into account occam’s razor (sum-up: “when you hear hoofbeats, think horses, not zebras”), but i’m not going to just blanket-statment ‘there’s no such thing as ghosts.’

ditto for aliens: i personally don’t see any evidence for them but the universe is so freaking big that i would feel really pretentious to claim that they don’t exist.

18) What’s a sound you hate; sound you love?

I hate the sound of my family at war, but that’s kind of nebulous, isn’t it? Nails on chalkboard and basically anything that resembles it because those sounds are like direct intensive attacks on my adrenals.

I love the sound of the wind in aspen leaves. It skitters and whispers and sounds like a pleasant rainfall or a gentle brook.

49) Give me the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “heart.”

Hurt.

The ability to travel anywhere in a short amount of time (the entirety of the universe, yes, is included in this). I dunno. You think that’s a good super-power?
