Hi. I have a long history of bpd/trauma. My psychiatrist told me recently that I might be having the early stages of a psychotic episode bc I realised that I'm in an experiment and being watched with cameras. Do you have any advice for showering when I feel like I'm being watched? It makes me feel rlly humiliated and dirty. Thank you. If I don't count as psychotic that's okay too and please just ignore this then!!
I have these thick curtains on my window, because that was a place of concern for me, so maybe you need to look at some better shower curtains, so you can feel more covered. Some thicker ones, and maybe something you can put over the top of the shower? If that's possible. Other than that, I would suggest that you get a swimsuit that you can wear in the shower, so you spend as little time without clothes as possible.
I also want to say that I believe you absolutely count. You don't have to have a psychotic disorder in order to have episodes or features or elements of psychosis. Psychosis is psychosis to me, and you are 100% valid.
Along with that, I would never delete your message even if you weren't psychotic. I'm here to talk and I'm always going to welcome anyone who needs to talk to someone. I'd be honored for them to choose me, and I will never turn my nose up at the opportunity to help. Everyone is welcome here, anyone who isn't psychotic just has to be drinking their respect psychotic people juice in this house.
