idk if you've seen it or not but- your name (the movie), kiribaku au

your name is my Favorite Move and i’ve seen it around 20 times so you know i’ve thought abt a krbk au!! i actually had the very beginnings of a fic in the works maybe a month after i got into krbk as a whole, it’s very rough but i did have the intro scene typed out

with this one i was a little less interested in a direct retelling (ie w the comic and the time jumps and stuff) and more into the idea that, like, fate gives them a chance to get to know each other with the switches (because what better way to learn about someone Fast than to live their life) and they go through the whole ‘trying to live each other’s lives as smoothly as possible’ phase with the exchanging notes and learning deep secrets and stuff, but they never get any further - communication stops and kirishima chases after bkg and just like in the movie he doesn’t recognize him, so fate says fine, have it your way, if you won’t treasure this chance i’m sure there’s plenty of other matches for kirishima out there, and it’s not until months later when bkg stumbles upon the braided cord and everything rushes back to him that he realizes what a mistake he’s made and goes on the crazy journey trying to remember where kirishima lived but it’s a waste he’s already gone and his family won’t tell this total stranger where he went so bkg gives up but then a year later they make eye contact while their trains pass and they have that whole whirldwind running around and finding each other on the stairs and fate smiles at them for finally getting the hint- anyway that’s the gist of it

1.okay so this is gonna be kind of long but if you like dessert, or if sugar cream pie sounds good to you you should give this a try. the recipe i usually follow is as follows;, 9 inch frozen crust (cause i dont have time or energy to make one), 1 cup of sugar, 1/4 cups of cornstarch, 2 cups of either 2% milk or half and half (half and half will make it thicker), 1/2 cup of butter, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon. preheat oven to 425 fahrenheit, then you can put this

2. all together in a saucepan, starting with your sugar and cornstarch then adding in milk, followed by your butter and vanilla once it starts to thicken. After it gets all goopy and starts to bubble you pour it into your pie crust and put some ground cinnamon on top (i ususally just eyeball it). Then put in the oven for 15 minutes. When its done take it out and let it cool, then put it in the fridge overnight. Im really sorry if you arnt american and none of these directions make sense btw.
