even wrote a small story based on this and the scene in the ib remake
i tried my best, but it may be a bit out of character for ferb to talk this much

Realizing that they couldn’t return to Monty, the two younger boys forged ahead on their own. Hand in hand, they continue through a hallway surrounded by a starry sky. It looks almost real, but a closer inspection would allow you to see the delicate paint strokes that litter the vast canvas.
“The night sky is really pretty, isn’t it, Ferb?” Pierre asks.
Ferb just nods in response.
“I want to see the real night sky with you. When we get outta here let’s go look at the stars together, yeah?”
Ferb nods again, and they keep on walking.
Pierre asks another question: “Is Monty your dad, Ferb?”
Ferb shakes his head.
“Then is he your brother?”
“He’s a stranger, actually,” Ferb answers. “We only just met in this place.”
“Oh.”
“I do have a brother, though.”
Pierre perks up. “R-Really?”
“And a sister. Their names are Phineas and Candace,” Ferb continues. “We also have a pet platypus named Perry.”
“I’ve never met a platypus before.”
“Well, they don’t do much.”
“What about your mom and dad? Are they nice?”
“I think so, yeah. They run an antique shop.”
Pierre giggles. “Your family sounds like so much fun!”
Ferb cracks a small smile and gives him an affirming nod. The small talk didn’t last long, but it doesn’t need to. It helped to lift his spirits and remind him of who he’s trying to get back to. As long as he believes his family is safe, he’ll be okay.
As they’re about to reach the end, Pierre suddenly lets go of Ferb’s hand. The latter looks back, confusion written on his face.
“Hey, Ferb,” Pierre’s voice is a lot more serious. “If by any chance only two of us could leave this place, what would you do?”
Ferb doesn’t say anything at first. He just stares at Pierre in bewilderment while finding the right words to say. In the end, he just slightly tilts his head and responds with “Why are you asking that?”
“O-Oh!! Uuuhh. . . I was, um. . .” Pierre clenches his hands tighter together. “Just wondering what you would do if something like that was to happen! Purely hy. . . hypno. . . hypothetical, yeah!! A-Anyways,” he takes Ferb’s hand again and pulls him ahead, “the faster we get outta here the sooner you can see your family again, so let’s get going!”
Because my brother started watching Manly's Ib playthrough while I was going through Hamster and Gretel, I thought an Ib AU would work well.
I'm thinking that this goes through Hamster's paintings, and along the way, Hamster's painting of Billy (the kid that picked him up in Hamnesia that was actually The Impostor) fills in Mary's role.
