As teenagers, my dad and his friend were volunteered to help clean up the park after the Forth of July. They found an unexploded firework that had lost it's fuse. Dad blames his friend but the long and short is, they lit the fuseless firework and blew up the bleachers with it. Dad says his friend was lucky not to lose an arm. (This seems very Joe and Booker to me idk)

Oh, for the SSN, definitely no dashes. It doesn’t even get you to the rejection page if you enter dashes!

Did your DD go through yet? I filled that out a couple days ago and still haven't seen a deposit. I'm also struggling to get DD to work for unemployment so I'm trying to figure out if it's an error on my end or just a slow-moving process.

I assume once they have my info it’ll be a few days -- at least until the business week begins again. The process is definitely VERY SLOW, so if it’s any consolation, it’s not you, it’s them. Probably.

Huh. See, if you had come to my library and asked for a card, that's... pretty much exactly how i would input that address into our system, with the possible exception of changing South to S and everything has to be in caps. It's the post office's preferred format, is what I was told in training.

Well, yeah, 401 S. Starbuck St. makes sense, I have no beef with that. It’s just really weird that you would abbreviate “street” but not the directional, especially when that doesn’t match what’s on the tax return, which is what the IRS explicitly tells you is likely to be your best bet. 

Like, neither or both I understand, and I would even KIND OF understand S. but not St., but abbreviating the road and not the directional feels completely insane to me. How is one meant to guess that?

if you're going to be owned by cats you should really keep a roll of elastic bandage tape on hand.

I totally keep that on hand anyway just because I’m me, but it is turning out to be fortuitous.

Apollo - You need to set aside the stress you are feeling at your workplace if you really want to grow and develop in your more artistic and creative pursuits. You can keep your attention split as it is, but you need to be more honest and realistic about what you can handle and commit if you truly want to develop your skills into something that can take you where you want to go.

there’s the dallas world aquarium, which is awesome but a little pricey (around $35 the last time i went?), and the dallas museum of art. both are in downtown dallas, so from dfw airport you can reach them with DART and a little walking.

Both of these sound lovely.  Thank you so much, they are exactly the kinds of activities I was looking for.  :)
