I have to complain! Long multi ask. Sorry. Part One. So I have been very sick lately and am I on high strength antibiotics. I am also on birth control to help what I call hormonal hives. The week before, during and after my cycle I would get huge painful hives around my joints. I had them for a year before my doctor finally found out that I was lacking hormones during my cycle and birth control would solve my problem. It did. It helped out very much.

Part Two. Anyways, the reason I mentioned the antibiotics. Well the antibiotics dulled my birth control & started my cycle about a week early. A couple days after that my hives began to appear again. They were so small that I thought they were bug bites. Within a couple of days they began to grow bigger & bigger & more painful. Sadly I have to wait for the antibiotics to wear off & my birth control to take affect again.

Part Three. Well guess what? This was last week. I am on the ortho Evra patch. This past Sunday was the day I take it off so I can start my period. Here I am today, w/my second period within two weeks.

Yeahhh, sorry to say that it happens.

Though it's no where near as bad as your situation, the last time I had to go on antibiotics it's like all the acne that I hadn't had since getting on Depo built up and waited silently until WHAM literally covered in zits. I also got hysterical hormonal.

Antibiotics and birth control are such wonderful modern marvels but not together.

1. Favorite book? Right now it is Curtsies and Conspiracies by Gail Carriger.

2. do you have any weird talents? I can touch my tongue to my nose. Beyond that, I really don't know.

3. do you prefer warm or cold weather? WARM. Right now it is 3°F, or about -16°C

4. tell me about your best friend I have a few, I don't really know who to pick. 

5. what do you like to study in school? Chemistry, Latin, and Math.

6. do you like your hair the way it is or do you want to change it? I kind of want to change it. I've had the same hairstyle for a couple years. Usually I just add layers, but I kind of want to cut it short. But I don't think I would like short hair and I would like long hair. Or maybe I would like to dye it. I really don't know.

7. what’s your dream job? Emergency Physician/ Trauma Doctor in a medium-large size city working night shifts and probably holidays. 

8. favorite kind of dessert? Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream or Cherry Dump Cake made in a crockpot.

9. do you ever feel really lonely? Yeah, it was really hard to make new friends at the beginning of the year, but I think I've finally settled into my niche.

10. most embarrassing moment? I really don't want to talk about it. It's not something I'm proud of.

11. how many books do you own? I can't count that high :) But really, a few years ago my mom and I collectively donated 1000 books to her school district. I donated 600 and my mom donated 400 (or possibly the opposite way). Even still we have more than twice that many books leftover. Not counting books that friends and I have traded or books that I have on my nook app or books that I have stashed away at either of my grandparents' or my dad's.

1. If you could be any fictional character, who would it be and why?

2. Name three places in the world you would most like to visit and tell me why.

I've always wanted to do one of those Alaskan coastline cruises, I don't know if that counts as a place... Prague; it's so beautiful, I wanna go see it in person. And...I guess Tokyo might be interesting. Somewhere in Japan, anyway.

3. Who do you admire most in the world and why?

At the moment, probably Bill Nye and the other science popularisers. I don't think there's nearly enough scientific understanding in this country.

4. Tell me a funny anecdote about something that’s happened in your life.

I was up a tree on mushrooms once at like 3 in the morning on campus at Univ of [REDACTED]. Some guy was walking by talking to himself, which freaked me out a little so I jumped down, unthinkingly freaking him out. We stared at each other for a second or two and then took off in opposite directions. It was only later I realized he had a bluetooth thing.

5. If there is one thing about your life that you could change right now, what would it be?

My living situation. I've been living with a relative for a few years now, but that might be about to change...

6. If someone told you that of all your personal possessions, you could only keep one, what would it be?

Oh shit. Maybe my first copy of Dune, which I got when I was twelve and has been read so many times it's literally falling apart.

Robert Plant. I bet he's had a great fucking time.

8. What do you think is your greatest strength?

I think I'm pretty empathic. I'm good at reading peoples' moods and body language.

I tend to have unreasonably high expectations of people, so I tend to wind up disappointed.

If I had to pick something, I guess I'd say pool, though I'm not really passionate about it.

A: The Dark Tower Series. I'm a little terrified at the prospect of a movie/tv incarnation.

I spoiled this one for myself, so I'll go a different direction. I can't get enough Arrested Development. Every time I watch it, it gets better.

2. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Probably here. I've been with my job for 6 years, and I'm about to start a new, better position with the same organization, so I'm probably in it for a while. And I'm kinda feeling like a family would be nice, if the circumstance presented itself.

3. What do you love most in the whole entire world?

The sound ribbon makes when you scrape it over scissors so it'll curl up.

4. Is there a special someone and how did you meet them?

Not really, I did just have a really good first date with someone though.
