A week. He’d be without his hearing aids for a week. Clint swallowed at that, but Tony had promised him not to let anyone know and that he was working on stuff to help him. He knew that and yet.. There was a meeting to attend.
Clint sat down with the others, expecting not to be talked to anyways. Still, he kept his hands on the table, palms flat on the wood to catch vibrations from voices, while everything was just a dull undertone in his ears, so far away. He looked at the others for a while though, and only after ten minutes did he lose interest in listening to dull things that he couldn’t really hear anyways, so he looked down at his hands, wondering if the others would ever find out.
Well.
As the vibrations of Steve’s voice suddenly stopped, then got more intense, he looked up - right into bright blue and visibly angry eyes of the Captain. He blinked once, twice, then his gaze darted down to Steve’s lips as he spoke.
Are you deaf? I need an answer Clint, now!
He swallowed, then looked back up, and the anger he thought he was seeing got to him - to a point where he bolted. Ran right away without even checking to see if people were following.
