my answer is the same either way! my second & third fav characters alternate between desmond and eva . i enjoy them both, their characterisations are really interesting to me and which one is my non-kai fav changes like every other week. i think about them a lot. also recently jett and wenona have been climbing up the rankings but they're not in my top 3
tbh almost all of the characters in this game hold a special place in my heart, i truly love so many of them and find more to love about them every day... i feel like i'm never running out of things to notice or new angles to think about things from.
not to advertise but part of the reason that kaimon nation is so much fun to be in is that the theories & analysis actually shine a light on the rest of the cast too. one of the most active members is THE desmond fan and so much of my love for him has come from the amount of stuff she's explored in discussions there so yea shout out @kaisturntoshine

The night after Regulus receives his dark mark, his sleep is fitful and feverish, and his dreams are strange.
He dreams of wings on his back and wind through his hair. He dreams of heat, and kisses made of fire. He dreams of the sun on his body and wax melting down his skin like the touch of a lover.
He dreams of collapsing, falling, winds howling, and he dreams of waves reaching out with gentle hands, caressing him, welcoming him. The water cools his burns as he sinks.
Regulus dreams of ice on his skin, ice in his heart, burning him from the inside out.
He dreams of a candle that is burnt down to the quick and can never be lit again.
He dreams of a sun that outshines even the brightest candle a thousand times over.
Thirteen months later, Regulus drowns where the sun cannot see him, but it feels like burning just the same.
