his finger paused it’s motions on tony’s stomach, stopping the odd shapes that he was drawing aimlessly so he could look up at him. propped up his head on his elbow as he watched him with a softened expression. there was no denying how he cared and loved for the man. but to hear how long he had his eyes on him? wasn’t so sure that he deserved it, but he was working on it honestly. helped that tony was getting him to see just how worthy he was of happiness and having someone to share it with.   “   i don’t know ... there’s gotta be one part of it that found me too annoying and wanted to keep itself protected. not that i would blame it for the action.   ”   there’s nothing but adoration in his features, even as he makes the light hearted quip. he’s not saying it out loud, but those words mean more to him than tony could realize.
