according to the rotg wiki, burgess (jack's hometown) was established in 1798

but if jack is supposed to be 318 years old

he would have been born more than 100 years before the town was established???

even if he had been born 300 years ago

it still would have been 1712, 86 years before burgess was created

no matter how you look at it, jack is older than the town by a lot
