So I just beat the elite 4 on Pokemon Crystal Version (VC)

Highlights: -Steamrolled Will with Thunder Punch/Fire Punch Kadabra -Koga's Ariados got off a single Double Team and my Marowak missed four Bonemerangs in a row -During this exchange, Marowak ate four Giga Drains from Ariados before going down. -Solo'ed Bruno with just Kadabra, who had now gained 4 full levels since the start of the first fight. -Karen's Houndoom is VERY strong. -Houndoom gets 2 KOs- pursuit cheese on Lanturn and outsped the weakened Marowak before catching a fatal reversal from my 1/3 HP Heracross. THE CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT -Fighting Lance: the Dragon Master. -I've brought along a Jynx w/Nevermeltice for just this occasion. It’s underleveled but I have faith in her. -Send out Jynx lead -Immediately reminded that Lance leads with Gyarados. -oh no -Jynx's misses Lovely Kiss and gets Hyper Beamed to death -Lanturn fails to OHKO with spark; get's Hyper Beamed. KO. -Feraligatr tanks Hyper Beam and finished off Gyarados. -1st Dragonite tanks Feraligatr's Ice Punch- retaliates with Thunder; Feraligatr KO'ed -Kadabra revenge kills Dragonite with Thunder Punch -Aerodactyl is next. I have Thunder Punch, I think I'm fine. -Aerodactyl survives the hit. -Kadabra has 70 HP at the time. -STAB Rock Slide and Kadabra is no more -Running out of pokemon, send out revived Lanturn who gets revenge on Aerodactyl. -Charizard outspeeds Lanturn and takes him out with Flamethrower -Revived Feraligatr 2HKOs Charizard with Slash but has to tank another Flamethrower in the process. -Dragonite #2 -Dragonite tanks the Ice Punch, Feraligatr is sent to the shadow realm. -two pokemon left on my team. A badly injured Heracross and the revived Jynx -Jynx manages to outspeed Dragonite 2. -I'm trying to remember what Lance's last pokemon is. Kingdra? Dragonair? -No -It's another fucking Dragonite. And this one is level 50. And it opens with Outrage. -Jynx is shattered into a million pieces and carried off on the wind. -I throw out Heracross as I spend a Max Revive on Feraligatr while looking up priests in my area who can administer Last Rites. -Final showdown: Ice Punch Feraligatr vs. Dragonite. -Feraligatr wins speed. Ice Punch hits. -Dragonite's hp bar begins to shrink -Keeps on shrinking -Dragonite's bar reaches zero. -"It's a critical hit!"

And that's how I beat Shaq Lance and why the elemental punches should be TMs in every generation.

I recently played through Pokemon Silver on the 3DS! Despite many many people saying it’s worthless, I trained a Ledian, and this was the result. Needless to say, Lance was not fucking prepared for Ketchup the Ledian.
