Natsu Prevents Gray from Using Iced Shell

In any shape of form, Natsu has always stop Gray from killing himself by using Iced Shell against some of the opponents that are somehow related to the Books of Zeref.

When Gray tried to use Iced Shell for the first time on Lyon who was trying to revive Deliora from its ice imprisonment, Natsu prevented him from using the spell by punching him.

Nastu got angry and told Gray to stop running away by sacrificing himself.  Gray would make the people around him feel the sadness and pain of losing him.

Gray tried to use the Iced Shell again on the same day against Deliora this time because Gray thought it was the only way of solving the problem.  However, Natsu stood in front of him to prevent him again.

Natsu wanted to fight against Deliora instead, so Gray would not have to sacrifice himself for nothing.

Natsu had to remind Gray again about not killing himself.  Natsu did not want him to die as well as anyone who cared about him would be sad of his absence.  Natsu even dared him to use Iced Shell. 

Gray tried to use Iced Shell again against his father Silver who was pretending to be Deliora.

Gray thought back about his friends and family while using the spell.  Gray even thought about what Natsu said back when he tried to use Iced Shell back at Galuna Island a long time ago.

Silver broke Gray’s Iced Shell, and Silver tried to attack him, but Gray was a ice clone.

Gray got behind Silver and thought about his friends and family were more important than him killing himself. Gray had to remind himself of that.

Gray tried to use Iced Shell, but a far more advanced version of the spell.  It was called Lost Iced Shell.  Gray would erase his life’s existence, so anyone who he cared about would not be sad after he was gone.

Gray knew if Zeref died so well Natsu.  Gray would have to seal Zeref away without killing Zeref so Natsu will live.

Natsu intervened again, so Gray could not completely used the spell.

Gray made Natsu cry because Gray was willing to die over and over again.  Natsu did not want to lose Gray because he is his best friend.

Natsu begged Gray to live instead of dying.

Okay, skeletor's reaction to Gray and Silver's magic made me think about something.. I get the feeling that all these flashbacks to Deliora, Ur, and Ultear weren't just a 'familiar feeling' in the Sun Village. And I feel as though Ice Shell will make a return. Either Natsu will take over this fight due to being superiorly matched in terms of element(which is highly doubtful knowing the connection between Natsu and Gray, Natsu knows not to interfere in Gray's fight) but I think the biggest concern is that I mean look at each and every fight Gray has been in. Damn near EVERY time he contemplated a sacrificial victory. And Silver isn't some Lyon pushover enemy. Him and Gray have a seemingly dark history, and Silver is equally as powerful and potentially even more so. I get the feeling that Silver will have a hefty upper hand, and then threaten Juvia's safety. Then from there I feel like Gray will threaten to use Ice Shell, Silver will call him too weak, and Gray will no-doubtedly use the sacrificial ability. I hate to admit it, being a major Gruvia shipper, but that's the only thing I can see occuring in this fight. v.v
