This is totally an AU in which Victor is a princess in a tower type figure and Yuuri is the awkward/roguish outlaw who rescues him and shows him the world (which may or may not secretly also be... another attempt by canon Victor and Yuuri at sexy roleplaying).

“Careful!” Yuuri said, reaching out just a second too late to stop Victor tripping over the tree root. He fell forward and into Yuuri, knocking all the breath out of his lungs as they tumbled down onto the forest floor together, Victor landing heavy on top of him. For a second Yuuri was completely dazed.

Victor’s face was centimetres from his own, long silvery hair falling forward around both their faces, and Yuuri struggled to focus on getting his breath back and not on the way Victor’s lips were delicately parted, his eyes wide and dark with shock.

Putting the moves on a guy you’d found locked up in a tower had to be pretty close to the definition of desperate. Besides, Victor’s entire understanding of the outside world seemed to have come from reading old novels. He’d probably assume that kissing meant they were going to get married or something.

15. Where does your inspiration come from?

Honestly, all kinds of random places. It can be something I’ve read or watched, an overheard conversation, a moment where I’m contemplating something totally unrelated, or after a sustained bit of research into something. It’s always good to be open to inspiration from anywhere.

31. Hardest character to write.

I’ve been trying to throw together a oneshot about Yuri Plisetsky and wow his POV is tough for me- he’s so unreflective and tightly-wound.

32. Easiest character to write.

Victor. What a wonderful goober. I like to make character playlists to get into a POV character’s headspace and his was the easiest to throw together by a mile.
