I find it kind of funny that Supergirl is finally bringing up the use of non-lethal guns in their organization in season 3, when Agents of SHIELD literally created ICERS (or the night-night gun) in the pilot episode. They didn’t even make that big a deal over it; it was just a part of what SHIELD does.
