(Winter Solstice Gifts, Day 4) Auril's Tear Weapon (dagger), Very Rare (requires attunement)

On the fourth day of the Winter Solstice, you get… a dagger! And Merry Christmas to all of you who are celebrating!

This dagger is crafted from a single shard of unmelted ice harvested from the glaciers of Icewind Dale. It draws inspiration from the myth that icicles are the perfect "unaliving" weapon, as they leave no evidence once they melt. Auril the Frostmaiden grants such weapons to a secretive order called the Rimeclaws, who operate in the shadows of the Spine of the World, eliminating threats in the frozen North without leaving any trace.

Happy New Year! Welcome to my first map of 2024, a White Dragon's lair to fit your winter campaigns.

This is a phased battlemap that depicts three different lair actions of the dragon:

the dragon brings down rocks near the players, trying to pin and crush them

it collapses a tunnel, preventing movement

the ice breaks, causing anything above it to plunge into the icy waters

There are a total of 8 phases in this map.

I have also made standalone variants of this map which are not phased, but can be adapted as other dragon lairs (Red dragon, Copper dragon, etc).

It's been ages since I've last drawn a comic. ^^ But, I guess, here we go again.

Welcome to a fight in Icewind Dale, near the Sea of Moving Ice, which… Bale will never forget.

I played a bit around with the brushes to get something close to how I usually draw with pencils. Not quite there yet, but I'm confident.

My players recently met Avarice, a somewhat shady Tiefling Sorceress, for the first time. I really liked her design in the published adventure but felt that might give a bit too much away, so I drew this portrait of her to show her in a more neutral light. For the artwork I started out with a B/W version to get the values right. Throughout this stage I experimented with different hairstyles, accessories and other elements. Once I was happy with the overall impression I added color and a colder hue to the shadows to give it a bit more of a cold feeling – she is in Icewind Dale after all.
