If you haven't written it before; how do you think the boys (or boy of your choice) would deal with an s/o with really bad period cramps? Like they make the reader bed bound?

Oof been there before, Anonym. Hope you're doing better. I've already done a period based one, but I can zero on in on the bed bound aspect. Like what would they do if you were curled up in bed from how bad the pain was. Under the cut cause it's just a smidge long:

Osomatsu is kinda clueless, not gonna lie. He's concerned of course because he doesn't want you to be in pain, but knowing next to nothing about the inner workings of female anatomy, he's almost like a deer in headlights making what you can only describes as his "yikes face". He's offering you things like money and alcohol to soothe you but you finally have to wearily point to the heating pad that's on your nearby desk. Once you finally start to feel a little better, you find Osomatsu teary-eyed at your bedside, half because he was frightened you were gonna die, half because he feels a little bad for not knowing what to do.

Karamatsu is a little more wise to the fact that you get periods and what that typically entails. However the first time you have period cramps this bad he panics, fearing that you might require medical attention somehow. He retrieves your heating pad and gently presses it on the lower part of your belly. In a nervous sweat he coaches you to breathe deeply while holding you close. You realize at some point he must have watched a Lamaze class and is conflating the two, but you don't hold it against him, because of course he means well. Plus the combination of heat and breathing allows your cramps to begin to dull, a sensation that allows for your relief giving way to a comforting cuddle session with Karamatsu in thanks.

Choromatsu is another panicked one, but his reason is because he can't get his head on straight. He's much more practical and does his research to make sure he's prepared should you need him - but in practice he's freaking out because he loves you and you're in pain and he starts thinking of all the things that could be wrong. Especially when you're moaning from how bad the period pains are keeping you doubled over. He has to take a second to collect himself before he can finally help you. A little pain reliever and some time he finally finds you sleeping, his shaking hands releasing the death grip on the doorway in relief.

Ichimatsu is actually prepared for this! I've said it before, but the cats in his neighborhood tell him what he needs to know. They hear your pained whimpering - and they alert him! Tell him what they've seen other people do to help with this specific kind of pain. When Ichimatsu approaches you, he gently moves you to the bathroom where a warm bath is running. Something to help melt down the intense pain you're feeling. It does actually bring you some relief! Ichimatsu wraps you up in a warmed up blanket once you decide you're done with your bath. You'll remain cuddled up until one of you needs to move.

Jyushimatsu's approach is far different. He doesn't exactly understand why you're hurting so badly, but he does understand how aching muscles work and that that's something stretching can help with. Seeing that you're bed bound from the pain, he offers to do the work for you. You're confused by what that means at first, but he snatches your ankles up and moves your legs to mimic you walking. It feels awkward to be manipulated this way, but you soon realize that the movement actually is dulling the pain you feel. With some time your thrumming body lulls to a manageable ache and your softened sigh gives Jyushimatsu the go ahead to let you rest. You fall into a much needed sleep.

Todomatsu is the other brother who is completely prepared. Having female friends clues him in to a thing or two about periods and all the trouble they can wreak on your body. He has it all: heating paid, pain relievers, even a small muscle roller that he's willing to use on you if you need him to. When the cramps get this bad, he's immediately at your side, with some water and medicine ready. You're actually impressed at how knowledgeable he is, but he just rolls his eyes at the compliment saying that he has a little more common sense than the average man and to be lucky it wasn't one of his dumb older brothers. In the same breath though, he expresses he's happy that you feel better when you finally do and was glad he could help you.

Im........ worried abt ichimatsu

Bc, what I think is gonna happen and like hear me out. Obvs hes really laid back and chill, so naturally, hes an easy guy to be friends with. But like, he stll has his quirks, especially with his cats. Going off the theory that osomatsu was getting more detached, ichimatsu either

A) started to doubt his likability due to this and shut himself off. Especially with the fight we see, I feel like this might be the point where we see his personality shift, like if he cant get along with his own brothers, how can he even get along with anyone else

OR

B) he grew more closer to his cats as a source of comfort, often ditching plans and hang outs to hang onto something he knows wouldn't abandon him.

And then like his friends basically turn on him and that's when he officially gives up on relationships lmao

Here’s some headcanons to play with, if you’d have fun with them: how the brothers would each share a bed with their s/o? What position do they sleep in? How do they cuddle? DO they even cuddle, or are they just ragdolling in the bed? Do they talk? Do they SLEEPtalk? Do they watch over their sleeping s/o? Out of them and their s/o, who’s the first to wake? Who’s the last to get out of bed? 👀

Ooooh okay, yeah lemme play around with these. So here's how I'd like to think that would go: Osomatsu He is all over the place. Doesn't matter who he's sleeping next to, he's tossing & turning, spread out all over the bed. If you're laying next to him he may be a little more conscious of you being in the space with him, but honestly not by much lol. He always wakes up last and is out of bed last, no doubt about it. Even if you're scheduled to get up after him for whatever reason, he somehow ends up waking up after you. He's a back sleeper for the most part, but flips side to side throughout the night.

Karamatsu Is a cuddler, for sure. He loves wrapping you up in warm embraces, especially when it's your back to his chest - he feels protective over you in this way. When he's laying you with you, sometimes he does like to watch you sleep. Not in any creepy way, but rather the kind where he smiles at your peaceful face and may tuck some hair behind your ear so he can see you better. He tends to get be out of bed first. More often than not so it's to get breakfast started - a habit he picked up from his mother. He's a side sleeper, it's most comfortable for him.

Choromatsu At first sharing the space with you made him rather rigid (out of nervousness) so slept a little on the corpse-y side, hands at his sides and straight as a board. But with some time, he's learned to relax quite a bit. He mumbles a bit in his sleep on just about anything. From nightmares to good dreams to even just reenacting a concert he may have recently went to. He's not big on cuddling (he's a warm sleeper), but he doesn't mind having your head on his chest while you lay in bed together. He's routine with his wake up time, so it will largely depend on when you wake up to see if he's up before you or not. He prefers to sleep on his back the whole night through.

Ichimatsu A very light sleeper. Bright lights and loud sounds keep him awake at night, so he may need earplugs or earbuds to help him stay asleep if by chance you are a snorer or need an auditory sleep-aid. He loves cuddling in bed, but rarely initiates it himself so you'll most likely have to do it - which isn't a problem because the warmth he gives you keeps you stuck to him like glue. He wears the comfiest sleeping clothes and he holds you close when he cuddles, his head often tucking on top of yours with his arms fully around you. His wake up schedule is very hit or miss. Some days he'll be hours ahead of you as to when he's up, others he'll be still asleep when you wake. He's another where he can either sleep on his back or on his sides, depending on what feels most comfortable, and whether or not he wants to fall asleep cuddling with you.

Jyushimatsu Absolute wild child in the bedroom. He sleeps in just about any position and if you do end up cuddling, you're basically wrapped in his noodle-y hold until he either releases you or you tickle him to get him off you. He likes to squish your cheeks together when you sleep, something about you being soft against him that he enjoys. Jyushimatsu can and will have full conversations in his sleep. You've been woken up by baseball calls, random animal sounds, even bouts of him having full play recaps of his mah-jongg games with his brothers - all while he's fully asleep. It used to scare you at first, but now you can't help but be fascinated. He's the first one up, always always always, and it's very sudden and very loud.

Todomatsu He's a stomach sleeper about 98% of the time. Prefers the comfortable pillows and interchanges between a big fluffy comforter or a cozy weighted blanket to sleep with. He's not a fan of cuddling at night, but he does have a habit when there's a bad storm or if he's had a very off day, of holding your hand while sleeping as it brings him comfort. Not a sleep talker exactly, but he does giggle or softly moan to himself in his sleep and it always makes you wonder what goes on in his head. He's another sleeper who is hit or miss with his wake up times, all depends on what he did the day before and if he has something to do the next day.

Osomatsu: - If you remember how Calming Detective Osomatsu reacted to those ants - it's the same thing. He's so fascinated by how your hamster literally just exists. - "Woah! Look at it go, haha! It's so fast on its little wheel!" - He likes to watch it eat especially, knowing that hamsters can put so much food in their cheeks.

Karamatsu: - Is also fascinated by your hamster! But he's paying more attention to its little spots and markings, commenting on how interesting its coat is. - If allowed to hold your hamster, he's very very gentle. He holds your hammy close to his chest so it doesn't fall and will carefully scratch its head. - "Ah! Aren't you a delight? Thank you for keeping my beloved company!"

Choromatsu: - That's his child now too. He is ELATED to see your hamster friend. He watches at the cage with a childlike wonderment. - "So small and fuzzy! Can I pet it? Does it like seeds?" He somehow has a small bag of sunflower seeds on hand and excitedly feeds your pet a few. - Upon holding the hamster, makes a pleased face: eyes closed with his mouth and upward 'V' shape. He's very happy to be holding your little friend.

Ichimatsu: - He's wildly curious - he explains he's seen hamsters before but they were so much bigger than yours (you shortly realize that he's thinking about guinea pigs). - Is a little scared to hold it because it's so small in his hands. Nervously shapes his hands like a cup and just kinda...lets it sit there. - "This is okay right? I won't hurt it if I hold it like this? A-Ah! It's moving! What do I do?!"

Jyushimatsu: - Immediately removes your ham from its cage and holds it up like it's Simba yelling "HAMSTER!" - Yells in amazement how puffy your hamster's cheeks get when it eats and proceeds to imitate it by stuffing baseballs in his mouth. - At some point they both fall asleep and you find Jyushimatsu napping with your hamster curled on his chest.

Todomatsu: - Thinks your hamster is cute! While not as enthusiastic with holding it as you are, he doesn't mind petting it when you bring it out. - Loves to take pictures of it of course. Makes memes out of your hamster constantly. - "So adorable! It's a shame it's so small, I'd love to put it in little outfits. Ooh! Think of all the attention that could get!"
