With the corona going around, I haven’t been able to go out in kimono in a while. So I have been doing monthly model dressing only for the last few months. This outfit was far too pretty I had to take pics before taking it down :)

It's sad news that the great kimono on-line store Ichiroya will close it's business permanently at the end of July, 2020. Ichiroya has wonderfully served it's customers for about 20 years, and has during that time been considered by kimono lovers as the premier website to obtain kimono treasures. Kudos to all the staff at Ichiroya for their exemplary, honest work over these many years
The first ever kimono ensemble I bought, and I bought it from Ichiroya, who since became my favourite kimono store. Sadly, they will be closing by the end of July 2020.

A friend of mine, newly initiated into the black hole that is kimono love, was very determined to spend her birthday in kimono - so of course we went out! We also had a really good mizutaki lunch (collagen soup, anyone? Yum!), and the waitress made sure to bring us bibs when she saw us in kimono!
